mainly i choose that cource because i really like civil and structure around us . Curriculum is made in such as way that it helps you to apply the things learned in real life and is upgraded with time by using machine learning for material behaviour and using pc software for make structure and checking their strenght. Areas for improvement can be being more strict as some students keep on disturbing others. exams are held 2 times in 1 sem . 1 mid sem test and 1 end sem test including practical marks and quiz + viva

I am from civil, in civil there is many intership opportunities available through intership cell . Mainly in civil there are L&T, AECOM ,many local construction companies as well as govt. intership is availbale.

almost all students get placed through on-campus placements. students are eligible for placements from 3rd year. companies like Amazon,microsoft, TCL, etc. come for on-campus placements highest package is 55.4 lpa and the average is 11 to 10.8 lpa. my plan after getting my degree is to get a higher degree in civil structure engineering for civil avg is 6 to 7 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA

tution fees for each sem is 2 lakh and 7 thousand and doesinclude library fees and sports fees. fees for hostel varies between 43 to 60 thousand depending on the room you choose and mess fees is 23 thousand . scholarships are give on the bases of your previous sem proformence and gives minimum scholarship of 50% off in tution fees and upto 100% off on tution fees . scholarships for ews is also given based on the documents and verifying the documents

many fests are held time to time in every sem. namely saturnalia held in jan , clidoscope in september etc. thapars library is one of the best in the whole asia and is well equipped with ACs and have every book you need and keeps getting new books time to time. classrooms are really spacious and have projectors and writing pads for teachers as teacher can see towards students while writing and have really nice speakers for clear voice there are 4 tennis courts , badmintion counrt, football ground, cricket ground,swimming pool, synthetic running track etc. there are many clubs for every activity such as pfa(for dog care in campus) , faps (fine arts and photography society) etc.

There are different rooms avaible like 1,2,3,4 sitter with and without AC and with and without acttached washroom. IN rooms without AC cooler are allowed but should not be very big. Every room have a bed with matress, a fan,almirha,table for studing with chair and lights etc. Every hostel have their own mess and food is good as compared to ther colleges. MENU is changed time to time for change in taste and if you dont eat onion,they can make your food sepratelly . fees to hostel varies on the room you took mainly varies between 43-65 thousand and mess fees is fixed for every hostel that is 23500. this fees includes loundry and gym fees also

admission is done on the bases of 12th marks(50%) or JEE percentile (50%) . its done through a online process .you have to fill a form on thapar.edu and all updates about fees and cutoff are uploded on that website time to time. eligibility for taking admission is to have minimum 60% in PCM . there is 50% reservation for punjab students and need a proff for punjab residency i think admission process is pretty smooth and dont need any improvement

Most of the thapar faculty is iitians and phd in their respective cources and they are really helpful. they even share their ph numbers with students if they need some personal assistance and they have a display outside their rooms for knowing their free timing for meeting . every teacher have approx. 7 to 10 years of teaching experience
