My college Experience in GEC Palakkad

The curriculum is relevant but not fully in ktu.Our college is under kerala technological University.Now ee are studying 2019 scheme.But from next accademic year ktu is going to introduce 2024 scheme.That was far better than now also far better than some* premium institutions in Kerala.

After semester 7 you are eligible for campus placements.Top companies are conducting placement drives.minimum 3LPA to 7LPA are starting salaries.Each department has their own placement cells.They are well efficient and improving every year.around 80 percentage students are getting passout and around 10-15% student getting campus placements and 40-50% of students getting other placements.

Fee Structure is same like all Government Colleges.Government approved and other scholarships are available.Course is really affordable.Only concern is hostel facility.There are lots of private hostels are available but it is in rural area.But overall considering cost this college is really affordable

Campus Life is awesome.Along with the studies there are lots of clubs and extra curricular activities are available here. Nowadays Sports teams are become zone champions and lots of university and inter University players are here.Invento is our techno cultural fest.Our arts festival is Daksha conducting every year.College authorities are supporting all clubs social groups etc..Our alumini associations are very active not only in india but also in Qatar, Dubai etc

There are 2 Government hostels are available now. one men's hostel and one ladies' hostel. Ladies hostel capacity is 130 and mens hostel capacity is around 120.Government hostel fees are affordable. rent is only 310. Quality of food and accommodation is very good. separate shelf table, chair charging port and bed available. every year college conducting admission in hostels. criteria's are Distance ,income, Mark. Other than government hostel there are lots of private hostels are available. fees are 30000-40000 with mess.1500-2000 without mess.

KEAM entrance examination is the main eligibility criteria.You must be qualified in Kerala engineering entrance examination.This is a government institution.So your need a good rank in entrance for getting admission.For general category students maximum rank is 20000.But Every year there may be changed.After getting allotment in keam portal you can join to college and take admission with necessary documents including fitness certificate.

There are qualified professors are available. But in civil engineering department 2/3 permanent staff are available others are guest lecturers. Quality of teaching is average compared to premium institutes. Not all teachers but there are few gems are there If you are passionate in engineering you can crack whatever you want
