FISAT: THINGS YOU MIGHT KNOW OR YOU MIGHT NOT.

My course is electronics and instrumentation and it was very new course at the time of my joining. People weren't that familiar with that course. It basically is about measurement devices, process plants, sensors, digital electronis, and electronics in general. It finds a huge scope now and in the future. An instrumentation engineer finds job in the field oil rig, petroleum, gases and many more. Even if the faculty could not provid eyou a good teaching , there are many other sources to look up and self study always works!

Most of the companies that comes for the placement offer internship, other offline internships are also available. Internships will be approved strictly based on the KTU regulations and the procedure follows KTU norms.

The placements are good in fisat, 80-90 percentage is the placement percentage. Although the recession this year affected the placements this year, but still most of the companies approached fisat and more than half of the stduents in 24 passout batch have atleast one placement in their hand.

I got into through managent quota and my fees was 2 lakh 22 thousand for a year (including hostel). I was there through a scholarship which I got after my 10th studies, so some of my fees was covered by them and the other was by FISAT itself. Yoy can find many other college as well as govt scholarships. College scholarships come in different criterias.

I had an amazing campus life, the friends I got will be something I will always cherish. The people I met, you will find good, bad, worst kind of people here and I guess it will make you nothing but stonger. The tech fest at fisat is BHARATHAM which is conducted once in 2 years, but there is dance fest every year called arangu, and other celebrations like christmas, onam. There will unofficial celebration for holi depending on the union. Great support for sports which includes football(men and women), volleyball(men and women), basketball(men and women).

hostel has 2 buldings, in the first building you'll spend your first year and from your second year you wll be shifted to the other building. Each room will be having 3 people (it can vary). No single room. Common washroom, Washing machines are provided with charges applied on it. GYM facilities are available. Badminton court is available.

Actually my admission was a bit different from the rest of them, I got into fisat through a scholarship . So after I gave my KEAM entrane exam, I had a rank of 21k, and through the scholarship, I got the management seat at FISAT. So for application I went to fisat, submitted my original certifcates, filled out forms.

The faculties and their quality differ in a wide variety depending on the departments, there are both good as well as bad faculties. Good as in they will just make you the engineer or will helps you to think and understand things in engineering terms, like how an engineer should do, also making sure for your inputs. Bad faculties are just there to waste time of yours, not particularly helping in any kind. The faculty to student ratio when looked upon is a mid. In terms of approachability , you have the full freedom to approach ahyone at any time , the only thing that differs is that how they respond to your queries, and it completely depends on the faculty. Some are just great at teaching!
