Entrance Preview
It is one of the best Government Engineering College in Odisha. It is also located in the capital of the state, so we can access our other interests easily. This college has a good alumni history in terms of placement and position. Also, this college has well-qualified faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is made by BPUT. It's the parent University under which the college is affiliated. The course is not according to the modern trend and is a bit old. It doesn't have any much relevance if we think about competitive exams and etc.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, college Provide internship in other companies. But there is no stipend. The college has no internship of its own.
Placement Experience
Placement is good at this college as compared to others. The jobs like IT SECTOR and data analysis is more here. The jobs like management are pretty good. Technical and core jobs are not that much available for the students. Placement overall is good.
College Events
Events are conducted throughout the year. We have technical fests and cultural festival. We also have many technical exhibition and MUNs. We do have a literary festival and entrepreneurship camps. All these are conducted by clubs. We do have an induction ceremony to the newcomers and a fresher party. We also have a farewell party.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is pretty feasible because it is a government college. It is merely 20,000 per semester so adding up we have an average of 2,00,000 for 4 years. The fee includes all the required fees for the sem like exam etc and it is also very less. The fee tuition waiver scheme is also present.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, a lot of scholarship is offered. Scholarship like medhvurti etc is offered by govt through the college. And the college itself offers.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are filled in the college. There are a lot of clubs in the college which provides a lot of co-curricular activities for the students. robotics is one of the main excellence fields for the college students. students can build robots and the money is funded by the college. Sports is also good here as well as debates etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is not good on the campus. The hostels are well equipped but not maintained and so on a long-term purpose is not suited. The mess food is pretty good but not great! It's is cheap like ?25 per meal. It is also sometimes a bit odd to eat due to hygiene.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the college is very strong. It always helps the students in terms of guidance, placement, and other requirements. Seniors are also helpful.
Exam Structure
The exam is conducted by the BPUT for the batches till 2016-2020. Then the rest batches are under an autonomous category. There is one mid sem per semester. the mid-sem marks have some weight in the final SGPA. There is a lack of proper schedule as it's new in the autonomous pattern.
Admission
I applied through the JEE-MAINS and then waited for the rank. The rank was then along with other requirements were applied on the OJEE. Then online counseling was conducted in which we were assigned college. The college is assigned According to the ranks. Then we go to college on the stated date and continue the admission process.
Faculty
The faculty in the college are well qualified. They have their degrees from prestigious colleges. They teach good but in some branches, they do not. Overall they are acquainted with the modern trends and patterns and support in many activities like technical and co-curricular
