Likes
- Netaji Subhash University of technology, it's not just a college, it's a world in itself. From so much beauty around the campus to flowers and greenary, nsut offers alot. My experience till now has been good and so was my first year in this college.
- The best thing that set apart any college is their fests. MOKSHA, the annual cultural fest of Nsut is just perfection. From electrifying dance performances to soul stirring music concerts, it has something to offer to everyone.
- Apart from fests, Nsut is also renowned for its top level Placements, whether it's tech related or core, Every genre's top company visits Nsut. Moreover it also have intership opportunities for 2-3rd year students help them gaining experience
Dislikes
- In general, Nsut is a perfect college but obviously every college has its cons. Here, i personally don't like the 75 percent attendance criteria. It's actually amended and it's tough for students to maintain it for each and every subject
- The attendance criteria should be reduced so that students can try to do more other than just academics and indulge themselves in other things as well unleashing their passions and talents.
- Specially for a day scholar student, it becomes difficult to attend early morning classes at 8am so the timings should also be increased instead of 8 it should be 10 atleast.
Course Curriculum Overview
Personally I think the core branches are not taught according to their curriculum and it's not just for nsut, it's for every college. apart from this the cs/it branches are taught according to their courses only. Talking upon difficulty in exams I think it depends on subject to subject and also on how well the student is prepared. if he's quite prepared it's not tough to score marks in exams.
Internships Opportunities
internship offers are also provided in our college for 2-3rd year students. Every year company visits taking students as intern for 2-6montha period. Moreover for diversity hiring some companies like Uber, Goldman Sachs visit just for hiring of girls, increasing opportunities for them
Placement Experience
Nsut provides placements opportunities, top companies from every sector whether it's tech or core visits Nsut. if you are a decent student with avg cgpa and good enough knowledge, you'll easily have a job, for students with little less cgpa and stuff needs to work a little harder. if no placement is provided by college, then students can apply off campus for the same.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is quite high considering its a government college, an avg middle class would hesitate to pay that much amount for a year. apart from this scholarship are provided and they have their criteria for that and also the reservation students get to pay less fee and for some it's completely free as well.
Campus Life
Overall college life is actually very good, Moksha and Resonanz are our two fests held annually. apart from this small fests happen on monthly basis like ethnic day and stuff. clubs society are very good actually. we have society of every interest, you name it we have it
Admission
the eligibility for my course btech is through jee mains exam. you need to give this exam to be a student at nsut pursuing btech. after this seat is allocated through jac delhi councelling. the admission process I would say is nice and convenient not alot of trouble is given to both parents and students.
Faculty
I think everyone would agree on this fact that students learn by themselves and not in college. However rating the faculty at my college, till now much I've encountered i would say it's pretty good. it's not that bad and one can actually learn from them if they want to. Overall it's pretty good. the faculty members and teachers are helpful. they help students and guide them in exams by telling useful topics. also having a tough criteria of 75 percent attendance, some teachers also show linieancy in that as well. in general they're good teachers. Not everyone is good but you can find gold teachers.
