Engineering at IMPS

College is good but i think faculty should be more good and infrastructure of college should be made more good and placement program also needs to be conducted more so that students gets more chance for Placement.

For taking admission into the engineering college i had to appear on the IIT , AIEEE and WBJEE exams and i finally took admission to the imps college of engineering & technology in the computer science and engineering branch through the online counciling process conducted by WBJEE after rank card received and thats how i took admission into the engineering college.

As far as i think computer science and engineering is a branch of coding.students must have the basic knowledge of computer so that they may learn the course structure very quickly and in a easy manner.as software branch is a growing industry so you have to be keep yourself upto date with the industry.

Yes, college has already organised a training program in 3rd year on core java for the time period of 3 month and apart from this some seminars are also organised occasionally in robotics , cloud computing topics but for doing this they does not give any money but they only give us certificate for that training.

Placements of my college is not good beacuse most of company who come for placement are bpo ,and there are some departmental company also comes for placement . Those companies are wipro, eclerx, takeshapers etc and in the winter season indian army come to take interview of students. And almost 40% students get placed into the company in past few years.

My college celebrate sarswati puja ,biswakrma puja, teachers day.in these puja all the students have to come to attain these festivals and before these festivals all the juniors has to make the planning for that and rangoli and all the decoration has been done by 2nd year students.

Fees structure of college is not too expensive in comparision to the college which are stuiated outside of west bengal and at the time of admission one has to pay admission charge in favour of university and after that college will take tuition fees every semester and if you want to live in hostel then you have to pay 20000 per semester for that and i think hostel charge is also not too expensive and all i can say that in terms for fees structure college is good.

My college does not give any scholarship to any students and some stydents who belongs to the lower class get scholarship from their state for study and i think college should give some money as a scholarship to the poor and good students so that they can afford the cost of engineering.

Campus life is wonderful and till now i have enjoyed it very much and in my college gender ratio is 7:3 in terms of male and female and in class room there is no sitting difference in between male and female and in the lab or workshop both works together and in the fresher parties and all other college festivals both participate and make enjoyment that is good about campus life.

Hostel of my college is good in terms of food quality and they give us 3 days non veg out of 7 days and they give four times food in day and but the rooms of college is not so good and i think college should provide a almira in each room and the food of m

College organised fresher party for all the new fresh faces and two days fresher party is organised with the help of college management and college students and dj, band comes to perform in the fresher party and all seniors of college is very helful and they always try to help.

Exam structure of university is very simple and easy to pass and student has to get 40 marks out of 100 to get qualified and out 100 ,30 marks has been given on the basis of internal marks ,Class performance and class attendance.two internal exams are con
