Course Curriculum Overview
It provides a vast and relevant curriculum in terms of studies. The teachers use high tech platforms and unique teaching methods to teach the students. The semester exams are of moderate to difficult level. Since..nowadays a large mumber of job opportunities are available at the cse course, so i chose this course.
Internships Opportunities
Various top notch companies and MNCs such as Amazon, Google, etc comes at our institute for placements and internships offers. Monthly average stipend earned by a student at iit kgp is around 7-9 thousands.
Placement Experience
After completion of 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. Placement rate of iit kgp is around 95% with a wide variety of branches available and provides an impressive package of 45 lakhs p.a. Highest package every year goes in crores, around 3-4 crores at the CSE department.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per semester is around 1.5 lakhs and hostel fees of around 32000 per semester. Though, tution fee waivers are provided to students having family income less than 5 l.p.a. and to the OBC, SC and ST category students. Merit cum means scholarship is also provided to meritorious students.
Campus Life
There are various sports, dance, music and coding clubs at our institute. Fests, events, sports and music competitions are held regularly at our college. Our iit kgp focuses not only on studies, but its students excels at several other extracurricular activities offered within the campus.
Admission
50% seats are available for general category students and 10% seats for female supernumerary seats. Rest 50% seats are for reserved category candidates. One needs to qualify jee mains and advanced to be eligible to get a seat ai IITs, through JoSAA counselling.
Faculty
16:1 is the student to teacher ratio at IIT KGP. Though it is not a very impressive figure.. but still the teachers provide proper guidance and mentorship to all their students. All the faculty members are well learmed with vast and impressive knowledge. Majority of the teachers are PhD holders from renowed institutions of the world.
