My college experience

The university is average in terms of infrastructure and facilities...the placement is good for certain branches and average for others.

Good in terms of placement...best among all the colleges nearby.....nice ratings too....moreover..direct metro connectivity...which is a boon for the students. Also, the university fees are very low and middle-class people can afford to pay it. It also provides mess facility for both hostelers And non-hostelers.

The course is of 4 years consisting of 8 semesters....each semester has its final examinations ....after which holidays are provided....then the next semester starts. The odd semester starts from August to December....and the even semester starts from January to June.in. electrical branch core subjects like electrical machines and power system are included to brief the students about their branch.

Yes, the college provides an internship too. Every year a no. Of companies visit the university campus and select students for an internship(both paid and unpaid ) and for jobs as well.

The placement is best for the computer engineering department and the information technology department and mechanical engineering department too. Provided the students secure a Gd cgpa. The placement is average for the electrical and electronic department...but this is also going to improve.

The university conducts both technical fests and cultural fests too. A no. Of events are performed and many students participate in them. The cultural fest is named elements culmyca. earlier this year...The theme of the cultural fest was the Harry Potter series. There are many societies or clubs that perform on the events. Be it dancing singing acting etc.

The fee structure is feasible.one semester fee is only 30k....which is very nominal. also, the university provides various benefit schemes to students who are poor or belong to some reserved category. The university provides a scholarship for semester toppers and encourages the students to secure good marks.

The campus life is average. As per regarding the gender ratio...Boys are The majority as usual. There are labs for briefing the students to the practical aspects. Also, competitions are organized for sports, debates etc that cultivate the skills of the students.

The university provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Boys and girls are provided with separate accommodation in the university campus itself. The hostel is provided at a very cheap rate of about Rs. 6000 per year. The hostel also provides mess facilities to the students. The mess facility is not much satisfactory.

The seniors are very helpful.Be it in terms of suggestions about the exams, internship, placement or anything.

The exams structure is different for different years. As per mine is regarded. The exam consists of sessionals and the finals too. The weight of the finals is abt 60% and semester exams are of 75 marks out of which students need min. 40 marks to get passed.

The admission procedure comes under the Haryana state admissions. Admission is on the basis of rank obtained in jee mains....but for Haryana govt school toppers and Kashmiri migrants ....it is on the basis of their 12th board marks. I belong to Kashmiri migrant category....thus got admission in an electrical branch in this university.

As I'm from the electrical dept. ..I can tell about it only ...the faculty of electrical engineering department is very strict and make sure that the students abide by all the rules and regulations of the university. The faculty is highly educated consisting of PhDs too....who provide valuable information to the students.
