KIIT :Good for placements,lack in hostel +mess facilities

Well! Placement is the one thing for which the college is known otherwise administration is very poor, decision-making capacity of the higher authority is worst ????. The try to suppress complaints of students.

I opted this college for placements and secondly, this college is near to my hometown. Also, no other option was left, either I would have to wait for JEE results or take admission in government college of Kerala, so this college was chosen. Also, my senior who was in the same college got very good placement.

The course curriculum book is given along with other books for students which has all information regarding curriculum from the first year to final year. The facility of a library is also given. The subject teachers give class notes on every subject, doubt clearing session is also organized after completion of syllabus of the entire semester.

Yes, the college provides internship but the first student needs to be eligible for it or they have to pay for it. The stipend depends upon the work.

The placements opportunities are good in this college. Most of the students get placed and there is also a training and placement department which helps students to get placed. The average package in the college is around 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. The highest package was around rupees 33 lakhs.

Well, most of the east Indian festivals are celebrated in the college campus such as Basant Panchami, Chhat Puja, Vishwakarma puja etc. Ganesh Puja is also celebrated here. For time to time, various events like kit fest, chimera,kritarth etc are celebrated. Events based on robotics and Accedamics are also conducted from time to time here. In many events, participants for various other colleges also participate.

The fee structure is definitely expensive because the fee is exclusive of many activities like gym, swimming pool, sports etc. Students have to pay extra for it. Also the condition of non ac hostel is not satisfying as after paying a huge amount of rupees 21000 some basic facilities are denied and hostels are renovated only partially.

No, if you want to take a loan then you have to manage on your own behalf and college do not offer any such facility.

Campus life is exciting. The campus is very big and is divided into 22 campuses. For extracurriculars, there are more than 100 clubs of various activities. Robotics is also one of popular society. Debates are organized in many competitions. Popular societies include 'Goonj','Kartavya'for Drama and 'Keurig' the food society of kiit.

Worst Hostel experience ever! The rooms are very small for 3 students in case of non ac hostel aspirants. The walls are not properly whitewashed and the hostels are not renovated, cracks can be seen in many places, the behavior of hostel warden and authority is worst. The mess food is horrible, there are not separate kitchens for veg and nonveg food. I have personally found cockroaches in my mess food still authority managed to drop the issue. Worst experience ever!

Yes, they are helpful but you have to know them and follow them on a daily basis. They can help you with placement activities.

Mainly 2 exams are conducted in a semester. Their names are mid sem exam and end sem exam. Also, the practical exam is conducted. Total theory marks for each subject is generally 100 which contains 20 marks for mid sem,20 marks for internals and 60 marks for end sem. From this year marks criteria is changed for 2017 admitted batch and it is upgraded from time to time.3 hours is given for both particles and end sem exams and 1 and half hour is given for mid-sem exams.

First of all, I filled the form of entrance exam ie KIITEEE (KIIT ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM) through the website of the college. Then after the results were declared a letter came to my house stating That I secured 22707 ranks and I was eligible for counselling to be done in the knit campus. On counseling day I was asked to fill 10 branches according to my priority and this is how I got my desired branch ie EEE(Electronics and Electrical Engineering). I was called in third round counselling, therefore, CS and IT branches were full. Then a sum of 75000 was submitted on the counselling day. Finally, all other dues were cleared out like hostel fee, mess fee, tuition fee etc and I was called to campus to take admission.

Most of the faculties in the college are supportive when it comes to academics. They are ready to discuss doubt about the subject whenever they are available. Students can even go to their cabins for double clearance and any other academic support. Along with subject teacher, a tutor-mentor is allocated to a particular amount of students in each class to support them academically and emotionally.
