Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of KTU is a bit outdated. The syllabus lacks many modern technology and tools used. Although many of this will be cover through extra events conducted by the college or other societys.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships like MCM and egrantz which can be availed by the students MCM gives a scholarship of 25,000 per year and egrantz provide almost 15000 per year. The tution fee of govt. Seat is almost 40,000 along with other fees as internet fee, special fee etc. it comes to almost 55,000 rs per year

Campus Life

Arts fest and sports are conducted yearly. Ieee, iedc, nss, iei are present in the campus too. They conduct various technical and non technical events in the campus. Event like xtrinia and enova are very helpful to get more connections and knowledge

Admission

In order to get govt. Seat you should have cracked KEAM entrance exam. The cutoff changes every year. You can apply for keam by going directly to their website. Otherwise you can join in NRI quota as well if you are not keam qualified

Faculty

All faculty members are mostly well qualitified, although there are some fresh teaching staffed. The faculties provide decent teaching and mentorship. We are able to interact with staff during the working hours of the college

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

MEA engineering college review

I choose this college because it near by my house and I always wanted go there . I applied for mea engineering college and computer science and I got the same college but different stream that is IT. Which is also good. They rejected because first I got a college in Kollam and rejected because it too far. And next allotment I got my second priority college. The admissions process actually nice. Not tireding first I apply for management seat then I got merit Quota. For management quota you have to qualify lean exam and for merit quota you should get the allotment and lean procedures....Read More
