Course Curriculum Overview
Civil engineering is the most ancient branch of engineering and moreover, it provides many opportunities for achieving many dreams of my life. I took this course because in future its demand will be high as our country is developing so this engineering branch will help me in getting a job.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship in very reputed companies. But no stipend is provided in our branch due to a change in the rules
Placement Experience
The placement is very high here but only for computer science students. Civil Students are facing problems related to placements as no company has arrived here for civil students. As I am a 7th Sem. Student till now no company of our civil core branch has not arrived.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in this college. All the students of any branch can participate in the events. The events are organised with the money collected from all the students. Mostly all the students participate in the events. All the events are very good.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible for civil and mechanical students as these are the two new branches started over here so we get a discount of 30% of the total fees. Moreover, if a person belongs to a poor family he or she gets a scholarship from the college itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offers a scholarship for the students who are poor and cannot pay the whole fees. There are two types of scholarships in one a student has to pay no fees and in the other Student pays half of the fees.
Campus Life
The life in the campus is very good. There is Very good canteen in the college. All the classes and refineries are very clean. The campus is very big all the students are very cooperative. In our branch, there are very fewer girls an and in our batch, there is no girl.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good. There is strict timing for the hostel students. The warden of a hostel is very strict and very caring also. There is a good supply of electricity. The bathrooms are very good and for Winters geysers are provided. The whole hostel is wifi.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are very good and they do no ragging. They are very helpful and are of a friendly nature.
Exam Structure
Exams are very tough. in Punjab, this is the only university where we cannot get more than 89% even if we take 100 marks. The result is based on credit-based system and the conversion rate of CGPA is 8.9. So it becomes very difficult to score high marks.
Admission
As I already decided to take admission in this University. The procedure for the admission criteria was to apply online application form and a fee of 2 thousand was paid after that a date was sent by email. On that date, I had to report to the university and an interview was conducted for the eligibility.then as I was selected I took the admission and paid the fees.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is very good. They are very nice and cooperative they help us out in the problems that we are facing. This campus is very good as there is no ragging this provides an equal atmosphere for students of all years. The faculty helps us even if they are not present in the college.
