- Anti-national feelings among locals, there's active tension between locals and non locals
- Events like seen in other nits like clubbing etc are not common but have happened only once or twice a year at a very small scale in comparison
Course Curriculum Overview
It's standard and similar to upsc and gate content, our teacher told us that the syllabus is decided strictly under IIT Delhi supervision so any major changes depends on them, while some teachers have failed to complete the entire course the most they leave is a chapter, two on even rarer occasion (happened only once for two in deld)
Placement Experience
I'm still in college undergoing my third year, as per my seniors they're getting placed, the college has a blocking policy where candidates are blocked from attending placement offers after getting placement above 7.5 lpa and are reallowed to sit after a certain number of students get placed and are allowed to sit if they sit in atleast 1.5 times the current package. However this policy is irrelevant for companies which offer more than 25 lpa where anyone can sit
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship opportunities are plenty depending on income bracket as it is a government college, I myself have not enjoyed any such opportunity due to not belonging under such income brackets, the college itself reduces fees depending on income and many scholarship opportunities are applied by students as I've seen them requesting information bona-fide se for this to me (as I've been a class representative), I'm not aware of any campus employment.
Campus Life
Technical clubs are present, I was able to involve myself with IoT and robotics club where I learned how to use embedded systems like Arduino, rpi etc and use embedded systems. Coding club, debate club etc are also active. However dance club etv are not very good.
Admission
I took JEE for NIT, my rank was OPEN 50,501 and I hadn't attended Josaa counselling properly but got the college through csab. Admission process was smooth as I didn't fall under any special category, I remember those applying for reservations facing problems.
Faculty
From electrical stand point many teachers are world class and have a lot to offer, though the maths and electronics department is very strict and are often the ones who enjoy failing students, even though passing wasn't an obstacle for me but certain teachers did hit my overall gpa, only a few teachers were bad at teaching but majority are good and experienced.
