Overview of SIT

The overall remark for a college campus is good. But regarding faculty, there is a lot of problems.

I heard about the college campus and environment of the campus, so I took the admission in that college. College campus is marvelous but the teachers in the electrical department are not that much interested in teaching. The college is best for the extra curriculum activities.

When I was entered into the college, the first three weeks are too much difficult to adjust there. But after that, I was stable there and the first semester passed with first class. After that my confidence level was increased and took to much hard work and cleared all the semesters with first class.

Our college doesn't provide an internship. But college campus is there, but in that hardly one or two core companies and that too only for girls. For IT and Computer, the campus is good.

The placement campus is good only for IT and Computer branches. For Electrical and Mechanical the placements are not good. Very few core companies come and they took only girls. Most of the companies are software and marketing based companies, core companies are not coming that much.

The college is famous for cultural events, festivals. We celebrate a lot of festivals there such as dandia nights, holi, ganeshotsav and many more. The biggest event is Karandak. In that many events are held such as various types of sports, curriculum, fun, etc.

The fee structure is nearly the same as compared to another college. But if you are talking about the hostel fee structure and facilities, hostel fees is the lowest among all the colleges in Pune. The hostel facilities such as hot water, 24-hour electricity, free Wi-Fi, and many more.

There is scholarship facility is available. The good thing is that they provide earn and learn facility for those students whose income is below 1 lack.

Campus life is good. The gender ratio is good. The extracurricular activities are more here. The competitions such as robotics, racing, clay cart, and many more are waiting for you only. Regarding sports, there is the biggest ground for cricket, football, tennis, etc. There are indoor games also available.

Hostel facilities are best. The main and important thing is that there is no ragging. They divide the rooms for same department students. There is no difference between senior and junior. But the food quality is very bad. They do not provide quality food.

The seniors are good and very helpful. They gave the best suggestions whatever the topic is, their behavior and nature are very helpful.

Our college is very strict about exams. If anyone is caught while doing copy they directly tear the paper and not allow for the next papers. The labs are good. Each department has its own computer lab and other labs are quite good. There is a free Wi-Fi facility.

The admission is based on the merit list. The merit list is decided by DTE. When merit list was declared I went to the college and took the admission. At the time of admission, they verified all the document and submit all the original documents. They took all the fees at a time.

At the time of the first year, the faculty was the best. They give all the notes neat and clean. They give all the relevant material which will help a lot in the study. After going to the Electrical Department, total faculty was changed. Two three faculty members are best but not all.
