Iiit nagpur is one of the prestigious institutions,

Mess food ,expensive hostel and academic fees are main disappointments and good syllabus is our main advantage

Cause it is the first college under public-private partnership which provides better placements, it also has the partnership with tech giant tata consultancy services, also there is a complete semester internship scheme which actually helps us in getting jobs with ease

Our course is completely based on central government scheme which is running in all the central government institutes but they have increased the number of subjects during first three years so as to set us in internships during 4th year, the course is complete knowledge-based with highly application-oriented subjects

Collage provides internship in 4th year during 7th semester which we didn't experience till now because ours is the first batch and we are in 3rd year only

There is high chance of placements because of public private partnership scheme where some companies like tcs and bsnl look forward to taking students in their companies which is very advantageous for students of iiit ,but we are still in 3rd year and ours is furst batch so we are yet to face our placements

There are mainly two events in our college one is tantra fiesta a technical fest and the other is abhivyakthi an art fest .both these events are open for all colleges and are organized in our college premises itself, currently, we don't have a sports fest but there will be an institute gathering where we play sports among ourselves

Fees structure of iiitn is very expensive it competes with the topmost expensive collage bits Pilani We used to pay a total of 1,18,000 per year(tuition fees) now our juniors are paying almost double this fees (about 2,36,000) per year which is very costly

We still didn't get any scholarship as of now but we are being offered a loan scheme by punjab national bank which is good as per now

Campus life is very good with about 2:1 gender ratio( male to female) there is a volleyball court,basketball court and badminton court to play for indoor games we have tv room equipped with games like chess, carrom etc.. there are clubs like robotics club dance club which organize programs frequently so there is no problem in extracurricular activities

The hostel is fully equipped with high-speed wifi which goes up to 10 Mbps it secured with CCTV cameras allover but it is small so only some members can stay at hostel, mess food is the worst we have ever tasted there are no measures taken by iiitn staff to deal with low-quality food

We are the first batch of iiit nagpur so we don't have seniors as of now but we are sure we set a good example of perfect alumni very soon

Exam structures occur in three faces first we go through two sessionals mostly of 15 or twenty marks each and there will be an end sem examination which covers up to 50 percent of weigtage remaining 20 percent is covered by internal marks for projects and teachers assessment

It depends completely on jee main marks and category you belong to, I've secured 125 marks in jee and my obc rank was 11000 i was allocated with this collage in josaa counseling in the last stage .i then went to institute with all the required documents and submitted them to collage and paid fees to get admission and am i card

During initial years college was run by the faculty of vnit(vishveshwarayya national institute of technology) whose professors are highly talented with good teaching skills now we have our own faculty through interviews conducted a year back with the written exam as selection criteria
