Its the topest college one can achieve through KEAM....first engineering college in Kerala...good facilities...it has 120 acres of area... there are more than 6 departments..mechanical,civil,C's,ec,electrical, architecture,applied electronics,industrial engineering

Course Curriculum Overview

KTU, Kerala technological University is much better than Kerala University in case of systematic approaches...but there are 6 modules in each subject, there are 6 subjects...so we have a lot to study...pass mark is 45 percent, attendance minimum is 75 percent.

Internships Opportunities

There are internship for every department....saintgobain a company who visited our college in recent days for internship...stipend 25000-35000

Placement Experience

There are placements for every department....especially computer science and electronics have better packages....Two girls got job in Adobe in previous year..package is 38 lack per annum...also a company fleet Management package 48 lack per annum....

College Events

Disha- as a welcome party for first years. Sargam - year wise competition. Drishti- technical fest. Dhwani-cultural fest. Pantheon-civil technical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rent 1000. Mess 2500. Book .250. So it is feasible...not expensive...only a sum total of 3500-4000 is expected.

Yes.... MCMS is a government scholarship ,...FFE is a private scholarship I got...there is GEMS it is fully by college

Campus Life

Campus life is very enjoyable...gender ratio is not same....boys are more in number ...because mechanical department has only boys and little girls...labs are very good...there are many equipments of higher budget ..it will help at the time of project...

Hostel Facilities

Hostel have only available 100 seats ..it is based on rank and distance....rent is 200 mess is good in taste. There are hostel available as pg in out of capmus ...rent is almost 1500....not only hostels but also houses...a group of students can buy a house together.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes ...alumnis are helpful...they gave a scholarship named gems...for eligible students ..... They will inform us about job opportunities ....

Exam Structure

There are two series exams for each semester ...each series exams has two module syllabus...one should achieve an average of 45 percentage to sit for University exam...University exam is out of 100 one should achieve 45 marks to pass..otherwise supplementary is available...

Admission

For getting admission in CET,one should achieve a rank of below 4000...(depends)...then apply for our interested departments in interested colleges... entrance commoission will decide our allotment...before applying we should pay an amount of 8500 to commissioner...

Faculty

Faculties are strong,capable,eligible,talented....every one have their own research papers...there are many teachers who completed m tech from IITs...it is very luck to us to guide our study under them.....there are teachers who teachers through PPT ..it is quite disturbance..

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
