Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very well prepared and it really helps the students in real life. We're provided with all the required lab facilities and practical equipment. The exams are held frequently. There are total four exams or sessional in one semester. The first sessional takes place in the initial days of the semester, mid term as the name suggests takes place in the middle of the semester. The third sessional often includes presentations , project or any other skill development activities.
Internships Opportunities
They university contacts companies and other universities for placement for it's students both paid and unpaid internships. The students are free to contact the training and placement cell for any queries regarding placements and internships.
Placement Experience
The university provides placement for all the departments be it private companies or pwd. The highest package ranges from 11-15 lpa and the average is 4 to 5 lpa. The placement also depends on the students academic qualification and overall performance.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees per semester is 27000 and hostel fees is approximately 70000-10000 per semester. The university does its best to provide the students. All eligible students are provided with national and state level scholarship. Students qualifying ugc net and gate receive stipends.
Campus Life
The campus life of tezpur University will be encouraging and involving for all the students. Numerous books and journals are provided in the university central library where students are allowed to study anything and anything. The central library is equipped with computers for the students who do not own a laptop or pc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels for both men and women are well-equipped with 24 hrs running water and electricity. The mess food is considerably good and is provided 3 times a day. All the hostel have their own admin bodies who address all the concerns of the borders and they also manage the mess and other hostel requirements.
Admission
The admission process was based on the jee marks of the students who applied. The students were given preference for branch selection based on their jee marks. Different counciling sessions were organised based on vacancies and students were called upon based on the same.
Faculty
The faculty members are very interactive and very helpful. All the students are treated equally and are always motivated to perform better in the next events. Regular mentoring sessions are conducted for helping the students to solve their problems. The easy interaction with teachers make it easy for students to love their academics.
