My college experience

The only good thing about these college is that it lies in state university. There are many bad things like teachers attitude towards students, no extracurricular activities, checking system about college management there is no particular management somet

I took AIEEE 2012 to get into this college whose name is I.I.E formally known as USIC. My rank was around 3 lakhs which was not a good rank neither i'm proud of this rank. I really wanted to get into a government college and i heard from a friend that the I.I.E kurukshetra is the college where you can get in easily during physical counseling and this was the main reason i opt for the branch naming Instrumentation engineering, a branch about which i never ever heard about. Also it was near to my house that was other factor to to opt this branch.

The course offered in my college is only B tech in Instrumentation and M.tech in instrumentation.

No company comes to our college to give internship. Students have to get internship experience by there own. Since no companies comes and you've to participate in the internship process by your own only if you are lucky then only stipend is offered about which i've never heard of.

Only one company came to our college like Fluor daniel which is a big deal since it gives 5.30 lpa but only 3 students were selected. Other students get into off campus placement exams of infosys where only 4 students were selected at 3.30lpa. Students also gave Wipro written test but none were selected.

There is only one fest that is celebrated in our college yearly and its name is brain buzz. Its basically only a quiz competetion where only our college students were present and a couple of senior teacher came at last. Last year we organised football meet for all 4 years and too with too much difficulty otherwise no other fests are organised.

Since it is a government college the fee is normal in comparison to other colleges and cheap in comparison to any private college. The fees is around 35k per annum for first two years and around 33k for last two years.

The only scholarship i've heard of that are given away are for sc/st or obc or BPL students. Children of University employs are also given some recession of fees.

Campus life is awesome and its only because we live in the state university. Fests are organised in the university where you can perform or even cordinate. In girls hostel a dj night is organised every month. No extra labs are organised. Recently a couple of workshops are organised by IITs and other experts which was good.

Hostel facilities are good for both boys and girls hostel since it lies in state university. Girls hostel close at around 7 pm during summer and 6 pm during 6pm in winters. Girls hostel security and authorities are very strict. For boys hostel you can com

There is no alumni meets organise in our college. We give away Fresher and Farewell parties to juniors and seniors by our own since i don't know why both these parties are banned in our college. We interact with our seniors and juniors only during these parties. Those who become friends stays in touch others don't.

Exams structure and lab structure are normal. The prep holidays between the exams give you enough time to study.

Most of the faculty in my college are senior faculty and some teachers work here on temporary bases. Most of the senior faculties are busy in there own university politics and care only little about students. Most of them teach you on slides but during ex
