Course Curriculum Overview

2

The college follows the curriculum put forward by ktu . That's actually pretty bad . We didn't get to study things we want . Everything we study is not what we opted for there are some other things . But I think everything which comes under this 'extra' is not that bad . Some are quite useful for sure . But everyone need not feel this way . Others may find it too difficult. Because the time period they give us of each semester is really short . In between we get programs . Club activities. Workshop. Assignment and a lot of records to write. Which is a waste of time .we generally get a maximum of 3 months for each semester removing the holidays. Then exams will come . Another thing is the valuation about ktu . They value paper very poorly . Some times we will get to think that these valuation is done by some students on 1st or 2nd standards ,to be frankly saying they will do better than this . I hope the things would change

Internships Opportunities

2

The college providing intership are quite less . But we can get access to companies outside of our own . Through online platforms . Like linked in and etc . Can get accessible to big companies like Google and etc through it

Placement Experience

3.5

From 8th semester a student from the campus can be eligible for placement. Which have some criteria like marks etc. The placement cell back then was even more good than the one which is currently in charge. One student get the training to attend the placement from 5th and 6th semester itself. Thats a good work being done . The majority percentage of placement is acquired by students of computer science engineering stream . Rest are really low as compared . The average salary getting is around 4 LPA and the highest getting is around 5 LPA . About 50-60% of students are getting placed . Top recruiters are Infosys, TCS , UST global etc . I'm planning for a high salary packaged jobs . Looking forward to be a full stack web developer

Fees and Financial Aid

The rate of tuition fee they wanting from us is comparatively not go big .(It is a govt funded college) Hence the fee is not big enough like the private colleges . The fee here we want to pay is 35000 per year . The scholarship getting is also so impressive. As a general category student Im getting a scholarship for rupees 15000 named E.K Nayanar scholarship which is been given to students who got above 80% mark in +2 or similar degree . They are even giving all other scholarship for different category students who are eligible for it . So the fee amount is really managable and the scholarship is really helping it . In the fee around 25000 is tuition fee rest is paid for pta and other activities.

Campus Life

3

Laasya'23 was the last fest organised . Which is held in the month of December in 2023 . Was an average function . The organisers done a good job with the fund in hand .technical fest conducting are quite common their they organise it frequently. Hackathons , Capture the flags like programs quiz and other engaging programs are put forward by the corresponding organisers. The technical provision are quite limited there . But we get free wifi but not accessible every where . We are hoping them to get wifi accessible every where . We don't have an inbuilt projector there in the classrooms . Sports are really bad we don't even have a proper ground in the campus . Organising sports maybe a bit difficult as we need to play in different places if we conduct any. Conducts group discussion and debates on particular days of a week . If we are interested we can also join them . Other cultural fest , student run groups like cinema club , game club etc are also doing a good job there

Admission

I got around 25 k rank in my entrance . The rank to get here is really less . We can get admission through entrance exam (keam) if we get to rank somewhat below 40 k .Of course the computer science branch is more demanded hence to get computer science in merit class you need to get below 35k . (For general category) For other categories the cut off rank will change . There are no other reservation benefits except the cut off rank thing . The frequency of exam is very quick . We get to write the exams quick . On the first and second semester we only remember entering the class . All of a sudden the exams came. This is very difficult to handle. I didn't notice faults during admission process in the campus . It all went smooth . I don't know about others . In my percepective there is nothing to improve. But I'm sure for others in their perspective there maybe something

Faculty

3

The faculties to student ratio is descent. We get enough faculties for oru academics . Never faced shortage for it . And most of them are friendly towards us . Majority of the classes are engaging . Can't blame it. The helping mentality of teachers are also so good . Can clear doubts anytime we want . The teachers put forward things which really help us . Which maybe caricular or extra caricular activities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies. The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
