Remarks
I would say this college has so much to offer. It has so many extra curricular activities along with great academics. There is so much to do and enjoy in this college. Yes, being a deemed university, fees are high in my views. College has good management( I wont say the best management ).
Entrance Preview
The first would be beacause I didnt got IIT or NIT, so I had to go for private colleges and this college has so much to offer. It has all kind of world class amenities. Also after investing huge amount of money as college fee, you ofcourse want to have campus placement and I dont think I made the wrong choice because I am placed and so are my friends from my department.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would give an 9/10 for course curriculum. It has almost all the subjects covered in it and they are pretty evenly distributed through the semesters. I would say labs course could use a bit of update and thatswhy I had deducted 1 marks from 10. Other than that, I would say its all good.
Internships Opportunities
Yes.. There are so many companies coiming to our college for interships. Stripend goes from 10k to 18k on average.
Placement Experience
For branches like CSE/IT, placememt is quite good but for braches like Civil and mechanical, I'm afraid thats not the case. They do get companies to sit in, its just Cse/it has so so so many companies and in comparison to them, civil/mecb have less oppourtunites. In cse/it department, there is 95-100% placement.
College Events
There are so many events that this college celebrates. You name the kind of event and I will show you that this college is celebrating it. Wether its chatt puja to Fest, MUN to sports days, it has it all kind of big and small celebrations. As I said chaatt puja, fest, MUN, sports, saraswati puja, Nss days and so many things.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I would say fee structure is expensive. Not with comparions with other private colleges but as of its own. Usually fees are expensive in deemend university for a general middle class. For my year it is around 11l for 4 year(non ac room) and now its more than that for new years.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes.. Scholarship is available in this college but you have to be very hard working to get that as it is given to students with wonderful academic performance.
Campus Life
Campus life is so great apart from mess food and when it comes to gender ratio I guess its 3:1 because in my class of 80 students there were 20 females and rest were male. Campus is prtty diverse. There are students from abroad, students from south, north and everywhere. As I have said earlier, this college has so much to offer. We have around 10-15 cllg registered society of diff diff fields and then there are numbers of independent student clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. Mess is also included with hostel. We have security gaurd, cctv cameras, 24/7 wifi, 24/7 light, 24/7 water and reading rooms as well. Mess would I wont say I like much, that could be because I have habit of having north-indian way of food.
Alumni/Alumna
I had my interactions with my seniors only, not with any alumni and I found my seniors quite helpful and friendly. We have bound of friends even if there is gap of years between our acadamics. There is no ragging policy, so chill out for tha for sure.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is quite simple. You have mid sem and then end sem in every semester. Also there are internal marking for attendance, assignments, tests and quizes. Mid sem is of 20 marks and 20 marks internal and then 60 marks for end sem and then they will all sum up to 100 marks for each subject.
Admission
Admission process is quite simple and similar to other colleges. KIIT has its own entrace exam. Students are supposed to fill its form which is free of cost and then they will have to give an online exam. College will then release the ranks of the students and will call them for counselling accordingly and so on.
Faculty
For faculties, I would give 7 out of 10. There are some great faculties but again like everywhere else, there are few who are lacking as a professor. But its good that there are few only. Other than these, rest faculties are quite hard working, they give their best to teach us and make us learn new stuffs.
