College is very far from the industry and connect is not so good because of that reason faculty needs to be recruited from throughout India based on merit and not local. Infrastructure is excellent.

AIEEE there was state based quota in every NIT at my time i got the college and branch via online counselling held at nearest counselling center NIT Rourkela.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure was ok but faculty to teach those courses were either on contract or not there.AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) ROBOTICS, SEMICONDUCTOR ENGINEERING were few electives available in our curriculum which were across departments course structure was good but more of theoretical there were no lab experts some labs were mordenised in my times if student wants to learn by himself then facilities provided were very good.
Internships Opportunities
It provides stipend to M.Tech students stipend is same as any central government university provides for that they have to teach a few subjects and take lab sessions.
Placement Experience
All details provided in college website department/batch wise. Core companies came for electrical, mechanical and civil branch most of branches had 90% and above placements companies like TCS, sapient, abb, ntpc, pgcl, ashok Leyland, tata motors, l and t, gammon India, sasken came for placements.
College Events
We had a technical festival named nimbus cultural festival named hillfair held every year funds are arranged by student representatives from companies and college also provides some amount college has a open air theatre and an indoor theatre where these events take place.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It used to be very nominal during my times 7000 per semester per month hostel charges were around 1500 so for btech course 8 semesters into 7000 comes around 56k hostel charges altogether 12 *4*1500 is around 72000 this calculation is for 2004 to 2008 batch.

Students got scholarships based on merit, category and income group all major banks provide educational loans fees was quite low during my time so never needed any loan.
Campus Life
Campus has 4/5 food courts which remain open late and suits college life gender ratio is not great and mostly was in 1:4 ratio with least ratio in mechanical student diversity his very high as all states have student quota. Nri. Quota is also present every year few students from Africa, srilanka, UAE take admission in this quota there are department parties, fresher parties, college farewell parties held.
