Best college for Computer Science & Engineering Students

Overall we can say our college is good. The management is supportive. But at sometimes they have to be strict and they are strict.

I was looking for a college having good placement percentage for IT companies. I found JIS college as the best college for a medium class family, who has a good placement rate for CSE students. This college also provides hostel facility, which is strongly required by a student coming from another state. So I chose this college.

The course curriculum is quite impressive due to the online availability of lectures, assignments and preparation tests. In our college, it's also mandatory to have 75% attendance and monthly examinations. We are provided with a well-structured syllabus at the beginning of each semester, which really helps us to complete our study.

Yes, from my college there is a good scope for an internship. I was also selected for a work from home internship of two months with a stipend of 4000 per month. Our college has an attachment to different companies for the internship.

For computer science and engineering students, there is a lot of job opportunities. I am in 4th year and from my 7th semester, more than 20 companies have come for placement drives. Our college also provides extra classes for preparation of placement drives. I am already placed in a well-reputed company which is TCS.

A lot of events are celebrated in our college. Starting from January month we have tech fest events and then Saraswati Puja. And each month we have some seminars. At the admission time, there is an event of 10 days, which is known as Freshers welcome. Every year our college celebrate its foundation day in which students with the good academic record are awarded.

The fee structure is semester based. We have to pay the fees every 6 months. My college fees are around 42,000 to 43,000 per semester. And it is feasible as compared to other colleges. Our hostel fees are 30,000 for 6 months, which is a little bit expensive.

I am having a loan from Central bank of India and some students also have a TFW, which means tuition fee weaver. Loan facility is not offered by the college but college will provide you with the documents through which you can get a loan easily.

As our hostel fees are 30,000 for 6months I think it's a little expensive. And the facilities of the hostel are 24 hours electricity, purified water, security and 4-time food. Food quality is not so good. Every two student is provided with a room. Rooms are well cleaned and furnished.

In each semester we have to give two internal tests and at the end of each semester, a theory exam is conducted followed by a practical exam. The first internal exam happens after two months of semester beginning and the second internal happens after two months of first internal exam. Each semester is of 6 months and at the 6th month, we have our final semester examination.

I got admission in this institute by West Bengal joint entrance examination. My rank was 51326. At first, I went for the counselling process in which I had to pay 20,000 rupees and then I was invited to the college for document verification and seat booking. The admission process was very simple due to the counselling process. I just came to the college, verified my documents and paid the admission fees.
