overall this is a good college

In overall, GMRIT is a good campus for education and placements. But nowadays, most of the placements are for software students only. The infrastructure in GMRIT is very good and environment is cool.

This college is said to be one of the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh. college is providing a high-quality education and good placements for students. Infrastructure and faculty are very good. the college is also providing bus facility for students. The college is near to my hometown.

the college is providing the course curriculum details in the downloads tab in GMRIT official website. GMRIT is also providing LAN based courses within the college. The LAN courses can be accessed by the digital library provided by GMRIT knowledge resource center.

GMRIT is providing free internships for students for 4 weeks. The college is having contacts with many MNC's for providing Full Semister Internship. For FSI, the stipend given is about 9000 to 15000 per month.

The college is offering lot of placement opportunities for the students. GMRIT is providing 75% placements for the students. There are placement offers from MNC's like Wipro, TCS, Tech mahindra, etc... the packages for placements is about 3 to 7 lakh per annum. Placements are more for software students.

The most prestigious event conducted by GMRIT is STEPCONE. This is a national level technical fest. This fest is coordinated by students and there many spotlites, technical events, paper presentations are conducted in the event. GMRIT is also conducting some events like Annual day, Sports day, etc...

The fee structure of GMRIT is somewhat expensive. the fee for B.tech students is about 1 lakh 15 thousand. Though the college is providing many facilities for the students and a very good infrastructure, the fee is somewhat high for those facilities and the provided education.

GMRIT is providing 50,000/- scholarship for chemical engineering students. and also giving scholarships for merit students.

GMRIT is a green campus. peaceful environment. the students are encuraged for many sports and extra curricular activities. Labs in GMRIT are with well working equipment. GMRIT is conducting many competitions within the college and inter college competitions.

GMRIT is providing hostel facility for students and faculty. the hostel food is very hygienic and tasty. But the hostel fee is as high as 80,000/- per annum. The hostel rooms are provided with 24 hours free LAN connection. One room consisting of three students.

GMRIT is maintaining a good alumni network. there are many interactions are conducted for students with alumni.

GMRIT is following a good examination structure. for B.tech, there will be two set of mid exams per semister and a set of comprehensive test. mid exams are for limited syllabus and comprehensive test is for overall syllabus. GMRIT is an autonomous institute. so examinations are schedueled as per the board decisions.

I have appeared for AP ECET examination in 2017. after the ranks are announced by APSCHE, I have chosen GMRIT in the options list. the allotment is based on the rank, caste and other reservations. I've got GMRIT in the allotment. After allotment, I have submitted the allotment order, fee and my certificates to college. that's it. my joining process is completed.

The faculty in GMRIT are so supportive and interactive towards students. Students can meet the faculty at any time regarding any information related to acadamics or student activities. Faculties are treated by the management based on the student feedback, which is collected by students for every three months.
