No bad remarks. But yes, the college discipline committee is really strict, which I will count in the plus point because good this reason only our college is ragging free.
Entrance Preview
Being an engineer it is must to know how to apply the theoretical knowledge practically, for this purpose one must be acquainted with the laboratory instruments. I found the laboratories of this college very well equipped with a wonderful infrastructure. Moreover, in spite of laboratories, the classes, libraries are very enriched. Finally comes the placements, where no-one can compete with KIIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good. The syllabus is truly enriched. If anyone wants to appear in GATE, then the syllabus is also enough for them. The most amazing thing is that the books are provided by the college itself, so there will not be any mismatch between the syllabus and the books.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. To some good students, the college provides internships. But there are some basic CGPA criteria and all. The general stipend is about 20000-30000 per month.
Placement Experience
The placements are really good, even it's increasing year by year. I'm in 3rd year now so I get to know about the coming companies. In this year almost 1000 to 1100 students were placed in the day'0' only, and the placements on the day '1' and day '2' were also amazing. Many famous companies are coming..like Microsoft, Deloitte, HSBC etc.
College Events
Many events are celebrated here. In spite the common festivals, here we celibate NSS WEEK, where many fun events are organized. Among all events, the most awaited are the KIIT-FEST. Many popular celebrities come in this fest. The fest is conducted for 3-4 days. Besides the fun events many quizzes, robotics competitions are also organized in this event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is quite high, and it will be difficult to maintain for the middle-class families. In one semester the educational fees are 150000 and besides that, the hostel and mess fees are 21000 and 15000 respectively. Students can also add the laundry facilities by paying 1600 more per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yeah. Scholarship schemes are there. In each semester the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked of each branch will get 10000, 7000, 5000 respectively. I am the branch topper of EEE and I get the amount per month basis.
Campus Life
Campus life is really amazing. Both the boys and girls are almost the same in the number. In the battle of societies, no college can beat KIIT. Because here in kiit for drama, dance, singing, nukkad, theatre different societies are there. In spite of these entertainment teams, societies like robotics, NSS target jee, NSS Lakshya are also here. Besides these extracurricular activities, the laboratories, classrooms, sports grounds are also very enriched.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are fine, washrooms are also very much clean and clear. But the mess food is not so much standard. Mainly the problem is at the dinner. But after all comparing everything I will say that the hostel and mess food is fine, Just the students have to adjust in some sort.
Alumni/Alumna
yes, our seniors are really helpful. I personally feel this too much. As I am in the society NSS TARGET JEE, I got to know many seniors, and I got very helpful suggestions from them whenever required.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is also very tight. In a semester there is one midsem of 20 marks, and 20 marks for internal assessment (attendance, assignments, PPTs, class tests) and The end semester exam is of 60 marks. likewise, for all the subjects, this exam structure follows.
Admission
For admission, I appeared for the KIITEE exam and after results got out I downloaded the result card. There I found that I have cleared the exam and, I have to go to KIIT for counseling (the date, time, venue everything was mentioned there in the result card). As per the scheduled date, I came and I choose my branch (EEE) and booked the hostel. Then after almost 20 days, I came to the hostel when the session started.
Faculty
Faculties are really good. Most of the faculties are from IITs.They all are very kind and helpful and are always ready to help the students with anything. Here one student can ask any doubt to any faculty, it's not necessary that the faculty must be his/her class teacher.
