Entrance Preview
Because this college is situated at the prime location of Kolkata, so there is no issue of traveling.N ext you can easily prepare for higher exams like GATE or CAT because all the coaching centers have their branch in Rubi.T he college placement is very good and that was one of the main reason.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here the course curriculum is very organized and very well maintained. In the first year, no mainstream subjects are there so a student can adapt to the new atmosphere and as well as he or she can fill up any gap in their 11 or 12 studies. From second year the main subjects are starting, and till the fourth year, we have 6 theory and 5 or 4 lab subjects every semester.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our college provides internship after a 6th semester in the summer break, the college chooses the company for us. But if you want to do an internship before 6 the semester you have to find a company by yourself, in this case, the college will not help you.
Placement Experience
Our college provides almost 70 - 80 percent placement for our students. But the main problem is the most of the jobs are in IT sector jobs, for mother trade students like civil and mechanical engineering the core jobs are very less compared with the IT jobs.
College Events
Our college organizes one of the biggest north Indian and biggest cultural fest in Kolkata. There is a freshers party for every year new coming students. And we also organize a tech fest in our college every year. Except these there are many technical quizzes and seminars are organized by our college throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little expansive, it takes about 4 lacks for 4 years during our college life. Although for the students who are financially not good there are many scholarships given from our college for those students. With this scholarship, you can get 50- 100 % scholarship, so the fee is not an issue here.
Campus Life
Our college has a very big campus. Our campus has cricket ground, football ground, badminton and tennis courts as well as basketball court too. Our campus is maintained neet and cleans all the time. The campus is 100% ragging free campus and it's our biggest success.
Hostel Facilities
Our college has many hostels for boys and girls both . the college hostel is in between the college campus so traveling is not required. Hostel facilities are very good, food services are not bad as well. The hostels provide us 24 hours WiFi and water.
Alumni/Alumna
Our seniors are very helpful they are not like seniors but they are like our big brothers. They help us in our study as well as in our future curriculums as well.
Exam Structure
We have mainly 5 - 6 theory subjects and 4-5 labs every semester. We mainly have two internal exams and lab exams and semester exam every semester. The exam system is very strict and very well maintained, and if someone gets supply in any subject they have to give exam in next year exam.
Admission
First I gave West Bengal joint entrance examination, where I scored about six thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine rank, with that rank I got admitted to Heritage Institute of technology in civil engineering branch because I want to be a civil engineer.
Faculty
Our colleague is very serious about our study, our teachers are very experienced and as well as very students friendly. You can ask them any time about your study problems in or out of the class. They don't only help us in our study but also gives us mental support as well.
