Course Curriculum Overview
Students can opt for B.Com in Accounts and Finance after a 10+2 in commerce or science. The 3-year course includes various subjects like financial accounting business economics corporate accounting business statistics business finance auditing banking theory Income tax etc.
Internships Opportunities
No the college didn't had any internship or may be it has which I dnt know about. Because I wasn't interested in internship and as such. Well I know there was campus placements and many companies came and selected the students for the job.
Placement Experience
SIES has decent placements,with about 60-70 percent of students getting job offers. The major recruiters are BPOs and advertising firms but once in a while companies such as L&T,AC Nielson and HCL also pick up students. Average salaries are normally between 15 and 20 thousand per month.
College Events
The college hosts a number of festivals,most falling between December and February. The BBI fest Synergy,BScIT fest Renegade,BMS fest Sharpshooters and the BMM fest Frames provide cushioning for the common cultural festival,Seasons which a number of colleges from across the city participate in. Frames is a one-of-a-kind festival since it involves only screening of movies and attracts stars from Bollywood every year.Fantasies is the biggest inter college fest.
Fees and Financial Aid
Book donation drive and scholarship are given to the students. Various student committees are present which organise many events and activities throughout the year, special mention being socially responsible ones like Tree Planting,Blood Donation etc.
Campus Life
My college life I enjoyed alot be it playing pranks on friends or making fun of lectures. 75 percent attendance is compulsory however I managed to get it and enjoyed in the campus playing carrom, badminton etc. Mass bunking was the main motto of the students when it was too hectic to even Bare one more lecture.
Hostel Facilities
The canteen is here is located underground and has a menu list put up. However you should try stuff like Veg. Fried Rice,Vada pav here its better than even the south-indian food here. Besides you have dosas,idlis etc but one thing true is that you cant s
