Course Curriculum Overview
Everyone likes the curriculum of CUSAT school of engineering. Personally I likes curriculum of soe because it has a well structured and simple as compared to ktu syllabus, The recently updated syllabus again being simple as compared to my seniors syllabus. New 2023 scheme syllabus includes every year students must take a 10 days internship and any industry or institutional workshop.exams are simple if you have a minimum marks in internal so you need only 20 marks in semester exam for pass that subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Cusat provides internship for students. I was done my internship at cusat fablab for 3d printing, adruino, robotics. If you want to take internship from outside you can go for it. Fablab teaching how to design and working of 3d printing machine.
Placement Experience
Cusat School of engineering provides placement opportunities for students. When students completing or on the end semester seven the placements starts. There are many companies are visiting for placements like tcs, wipro, tata elxi, ibm and more. The highest package in cusat soe is around 20LPA. The most of the placement from saftey and fire engineering and computer science engineering. The average placement package is 3LPA.my plan after getting enginneering degree was i want to get some experience in job side so, I will work for company and after getting experience, I will start a comapany.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees in cusat is most disliked thing for students. CUSAT SOE has two types of fee structure for student's that is statemerit and all india merit. The difference in statemerit and all india merit is in fees. State merit students wants to pay sem fee around 29000 and all india merits students wants to pay around 52000 except pta fees. For Reservation student's (sc/st/oec)students have reservation. School of engineering provides a scholarship for statemerit students that named as student aided fund (SAF), and may other scholarships.
Campus Life
CUSAT has more than 10 festival's from various departments. The major festivals from soe is the main event in CUSAT that is dishna the technical fest. But recently we had faced a unexpected tragedy that is tech fest accident in dishna 2023 4 students are died.The arts fest is Sargam the all departments are participating this event.cusat has a very large library and also soe having a library in soe campus.Soe have more active clubs like horizon, IEEE, igbc, mesac and more.
Admission
The admissions process is based on the cusat Entrance exam(Cusat CAT) On the basis of cat rank the allotment process takes. The eligible students can apply for the allotment process and they can arrange and remove courses. if you have any reservation, you can avail that reservation for admission. The first three allotments were online and last, there was a real-time admission on cusat campus. After the admission process was completed, there was a spot admission for vacant seats.
Faculty
Cusat SOE faculty was well experienced and they having a good teaching quality as well as they have good teaching and mentoring quality.Faculty members are generally appereciated for their expertise and willingness to assist students. They provide valuable insights and clarifications, contributing positively to learing experience. How ever some students feel that the teaching method could be more engaging and better aligned with industry practices.
