Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

IIT Bombay has the most relevant curriculum in India. There are courses on AI and ML which are compulsory and also various options for minors and honors. We also have a lot of electives providing flexibility unlike any other college in india

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are provided after 3rd year officially by on campus placements. Otherwise various professors and clubs offer their own internships and research opportunities which can be very helpful. Needless to say internship opportunities are very common in IITb which provide you with invaluable experience

Placement Experience

5

Internships are usually there after 3rd year. They are paid and most people with a decent resume get an intern. Placements in IIT Bombay are amazing with almost full placements. You are essentially guaranteed a job if you have a decent enough CGPA. Most good companies like Google Microsoft and Nvidia hire from.here

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a government college so there isn't really any fee hike regularly. The entire cost of my education is about 10 to 12 lakhs and scholarships are readily available esp for economically weaker sections. There are TAships which are available and also other positions of responsibility

Campus Life

5

Mood Indigo is Asias largest cultural festival and happens over 4 days with amazing concerts and comedians and a footfall of almost 1.5L. Techfest is the technical fest and brings in tech enthusiasts from around the world which results in a Huge gala. The sports and extracurricular facilities are definitely the best in India with a huge ground having football, hockey cricket and athletics while there being individual facilities for almost every single indoor sport. There are technical and cultural clubs for almost any topic that interests you from comedy to astronomy

Hostel Facilities

3

Rooms for 1st year are spacious and have good washrooms high speed internet benches and individual cupboard. 2nd and 3rd year have very small rooms which lead to poor loving conditions but the hostel culture makes up for it. 4th year has arguably the best rooms which are single sharing. The mess food is edible but can definitely be improved. There are special meals on festivals and special occasions

Admission

JEE advanced is the way to get in IIT Bombay. It is one of India's toughest and most prestigious exam which happens for once a year. You need extensive prepration for it. The high competition makes getting in pretty tough

Faculty

3.5

The teachers are some of the best in India with extensive experience and research. There are a lot of research opportunities they provide too. Most of the staff is very approachable and open to help you in their office hours. There are some average professors but even they are very knowledgeable in their fields

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
