Course Curriculum Overview
Okay so it's not any aspect of Curriculum that influenced me to choose this course, it was just my personal decision. Actually the practicals here was fun to do and easy as well ! Since we were engaging with Physics practicals from first year itself, it became an easy choice for me to make in my final year! Sometimes the curriculum is rushed through and I personally feel that should not happen because no-one is benefiting from the same ! It's always saving time vs. saving future!
Fees and Financial Aid
Talk about affordability and it's the finest college you would come across. I'd say in about 20k rupees I completed my 3 years of education! It was that affordable! And for girls there are special scholarships on offer as well as for the reserved category! But even without these reservations, I feel it's really affordable for 3 years I guess!
Campus Life
For social events bhavan's offers a lot of opportunities.. There's NCC, DLLE, NSS and other department run clubs as well and each club has it's own fests and events! But hat's off to the cultural committee! They're the best I'd say, the amount of recognition and awards they bring to the college! Even the NSS ( I personally have experience leading The Bhavan's NSS Unit for 2 years ) are representing the college on several platforms hand in hand with various NGOs and Other Sponsors across the city! About the Library, yes , you would find almost every book which might be necessary for your curriculum in the library!
Admission
Eligibility: You have to pass 10+2 with atleast 60% marks in physics, chem and Maths! And the admission process is actually very simple to get through as we just have to register on Mumbai University Portal after our 12th board exam results are out and admission will be done in most of the cases!
Faculty
I personally have experience of engaging with Staff of quite a lot of departments and they are all really sweet and helpful! Everyone is highly qualified even the professors on contract are really qualified and the permanent ones are all atleast PHD holders! And Talking about faculty to student ratio, in Physics department it's almost 1:4. But don't need to worry about it because whenever you have a doubt or anything they are all there for you. Really sweet !
