Course Curriculum Overview

I was pre determined with my aim of becoming a software engineer. Hence opted for a tech degree in computer science which can help me advance in my desired field. The curriculum prepares you well but not according to the industry requirements its the same bookish knowledge. Curriculum can be better according to the requirements in industry introducing several domains can help one also

Internships Opportunities

Paid internships can only be grabbed off campus with a lot of hard work and determination as college does not provide with a lot of help regarding internships. One has to figure out the way and reach out to companies by themselves to grab an opportunity

Placement Experience

Avg salary stands out for Rs 4.5Lakhs. Major recruiters are TCS WIPRO COGNIZANT etc. Around 70% of the students get placed in IT FIRMS One can grab a great package with the right way of hard work in the domain selected.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total academic fees for 4 years are roughly 8 lakhs which includes your bus expenses too. Hostel students are charged extra 4 lakhs ( FOR AC HOSTELS ) and around 3 lakhs( FOR NON AC HOSTELS ). With hostel - 11 to 12 lakhs depending on the hostel. One can claim TFW if he/she has family income below 8lakhs and has secured the required rank which changes every year.

Campus Life

The two most famous FESTS in the college are zygon and Nirman. There is a vast library present in the institute where students can get books of their choice and can self study for their exams or practice programming for their placements. The college does not support sports in any cases so if anyone reading this is interested in sports then this is NOT AT ALL THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU.

Hostel Facilities

As opted by me I stay in AC room which is well furnished with study tables and bunker beds. The most negative aspect is that the college does not provide WIFI in the hostel. The mess food is okayish but can be improved

Admission

Eligibility 12th pass with minimum 50% marks. One can apply for the colkege through OJEE counselling. By giving the JEE EXAMS but participating in OJEE counselling ( as JEE MARKS ARE ACCEPTED THERE )

Faculty

Faculties are well qualified mostly PhD holders from renowned colleges.They follow the conventional style of teaching through which some students learn and some dont while the ones who dont have to follow lectures from youtube or any other sources. Thou officially we can interact with them but they do not want to entertain us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
