Remarks

Overall college is very good with brilliant infrastructure and seniors. Placement is good if you are from Cs/it/ece.

Entrance Preview

I appeared in Wbjee and got a rank around 10k. I had heard a lot about HIT from my seniors and friends.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college is affilated to MAKAUT(formerly known as WBUT) and hence follow its course structure. Talking about the first year syllabus which i have experienced , the course was very much related to intermediate level.Talking about a technology related subject we had C programming in the 2nd sem.

Internships Opportunities

HIT will assist you to find some good training in Good companies. Most of the companies are located in West Bengal. If you Want to do internship you have to make your own effort for arranging it.There are so many example of our seniors who have successfully arranged their internship.I think, Industrial Training is enough for your industrial exposure.I don't know about the stipend.

Placement Experience

3.5

For the 2018 pass out batch the condition of the placement is not so good. Only wipro & INFOSYS came for mass reqruitment. But for core branches it just above average. HPL, Johnson controls, Adani wilmar, SHV energy(supergas), IMC projects, labvantage(for BT),ITC, HALDIRAM,PARLE,NESTLE( this are for FT),e-motors and many small, medium core companies were come, But they recruited very few students. And also some marketing companies were come( BYJU, OMICS INTERNATIONAL etc). But the fact is this year the total placement scenario at west bengal is not too good. so comparatively placement condition is good than other engineering colleges in west bengal(except IITKGP,NITDGP,JU, IEM, Heritage and 1/2 govt engineering colleges)

College Events

4.5

Many events take place in the college . Technical fest is called Prayukti and Cultural Fest is called Riviera. Prayukti has a lot of importance and many colleges take part in that. It's the best in entire west bengal. Talking about cultural fest this year benny dayal came and entertained us. The college band alsl performs on that day and many more things take place that are very enjoyable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible as compared to the colleges in south. For 1st sem i had to pay 82600 rupees including hostel whose fees is 12000. In 2nd sem i had to pay rs 54000 including hostel whose fees is 12000.Means the college fees you have to pay is rs 42000 and for hostel it depends on your choice wheather you want to take it or not.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about any scholarship but has an info that candidate who tops the department gets 15k scholarship by the college.

Campus Life

3.5

The best part of the college is the good weather that every new student notice. The college more seems like garden which acts as a good refreshment for you. You often see couples gathering in evening here and there, it looks quite exciting. You can go to riverside theater, malls, sea(digha). Talking about seniors , they are quite helpful, they are ready to help you in any sector if you ask them ,but they may ask your introduction first so that they can know you.You just have to be more communicative to build you up more .

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are quite good. You will be provided a generator that means you need not to worry about the electricity. Sanitation facilities are also very good. The sweeper comes every 3 days and clean the toilet. Talking about the food the quality of food is very bad. Especially if you are from bihar or jharkhamd you will hate hoatel's food.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are very helpful. Most of them guide you on how to seek jobs. I personally had many interaction with them and they have always helped me.

Exam Structure

Examination is quite chilled. Makaut syllabus ia very easy. Talking about practical only viva is essential .if you are getting good marks in viva you will surely get 10 cgpa in your practical. Talking about theory the question paper comes with a lot of options. Study at least 10 days before the exam and i can guarantee you of getting more than 8.5 cgpa.

Admission

after getting result , you have to register for e-counselling process in wbjee website then you have to fill you choice according to your preference after 1st round of seat allotment you will get a seat from your choice according to your choice.you might not get any seat, if there is no vacant seat in your choice , choice filling is very important at first you have to pay the seat acceptance fee through e-challan or debit/credit card. After successful payment you can download the allotment letter. then you have to report at reporting center and verify the necessary document. if you want to go with yes-upgradation , there is no necessity of going to the allotted institute. only go to the allotted institute when you opted for no-upgradation, and take the final admission. keep in mind that if you go to 2nd round and if your allotment is upgraded ,then automatically your 1st allotment will cancel. if not upgraded you will till have your 1st allotment. if you want to choose no-upgradation after 2nd round allotment , you have to go to the same reporting center and change it. after 3rd round of allotment , you have to go to the finally allotted institute . if you want to withdraw your seat, you have to go to the same reporting center for that.

Faculty

3

Not every faculties are upto the mark. But some teachers are exceptionally well and helps whenever required. But most of the faculties come with a paper and teach the content which is in the paper.Talking about the laboratory subjects no one bothers to teach something. They just explain one time and rest of the things you have to do on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
