Course Curriculum Overview

I personally loved machine learning and it's working so I preferred mechanical engineering.The academic curriculum is fine.In my opinion practical sessions can be much more improved and the exams valuation should be much more liberal

Internships Opportunities

Techmaghi , genz internship etc are providing internship opportunities in various fields with a stipend of 1500-10000. The certificates providing are AICTE approved certificates and valuable certificates. Only after the completion of projects and exam the certificates will be provided

Placement Experience

At the final year (4thyear) students are eligible for their placement opportunities. Companies such as 6D technology, aremia and soti, Ashok Leyland etc are offering placement opportunities. More than 85percentage of students are getting job via placement. Personally my plan after degree is to write the MVD exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete course fees for merit students are 35000/-per year and 65000/- for management students and 75000 for NRI students. scholarships are provided such as Egrantz 20000 per year and NSP 30000 per year .This scholarships are only applicable for management and merit students. Campus is provided gud placement opportunities for students from the company named 6D technology aremia soti etc

The campus is really beautiful and awesome and the hostel Life is beautiful. College is providing extracurricular activities like Arts , sports etc and the students are free to build clubs like music dance reading etc

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel there will the 6 members in a room and there are 20 rooms in total and a common bathroom for each floor. The food is also gud but need to be much more improved. There will be an quotion deposit of an amount of 10000 during the registration process. There are 7hostals, five of them are in the campus and the remaining are 2km away from college

Admission

NRI application can be submitted through the official site of the college and the fee details are also provided in the site. The eligibility of course is +2grade must be passed and for MERIT AND MANAGEMENT students entrance result is also required

The faculties of all the departments like Mechanical electrical electronics and computer science are well trained and most of them achieved phD in their career.There are also guest faculties and they are all MTech graduates

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

College Of Engineering Munnar Diaries

I applied to all government engineering colleges and government controlled engineering colleges in Kerala. In government controlled colleges, I gave first preference to the College of Engineering, Munnar. My KEAM rank was 31247. I didn't get allotments to any other government colleges because my rank was low. I got merit allotment in my college through the caste(OBC) quota. If our rank is less than 33000 in KEAM, you can definitely get merit allotment in the College of Engineering, Munnar. But one thing to remember is that there is only a small number of student intake. Age is not a problem. The admission process was super easy. Just went to college with an allotment slip and the required paperwork which is informed by CEE Kerala and remitted the fees. Tuition fee is 35000 per annum for merit seat and total including extras like association fee, art fee etc it became 55000 for the first year only....Read More
