Insider information of Haldia Institute of technology

Course here is but old. Ciricullum here does prepare you for the future but as teachers are slightly lenient towards students thus the ciricullum cannot help students achieve their goals. I chose this curriculum because of its future potential. My opinion in this matter is that teachers should be strict there should be weekly and monthly coding contests and winners should be rewarded while losers should be punished, and also lower the frequency of theory classes would be a nice thing, while increasing the frequency of practical classes. Exams are not hard but not easy at the same time and frequency is also manageable.

Students become eligible for campus placement form 7th semester. Almost all mass recruiter visited our college excluding TCS while few big companies also visited like PWC . Highest package for 2024 batch was 33 lpa while average being 6 -8 lpa and lowest being 4 lpa .In our college almost 70 %student were placed from 2024 batch . My plans after graduation is to get a decent job which generates decent living.

Tution fee for recent batch is 484000 which is still less than other private colleges.Tution will not increase for any student has enrolled . If a student is enrolled with x ammount his/her fees will not be increased while completing his/her degree.schopership is not provided by college but by government . College can in financial aid through student credit card they will also guide you . campus employment is not that great as 40%students where not placed last year (2024 batch).

We have Freshers , Fairwell, society parties (depends) and big events which lasts for a week like cultural fest Nd Tech fest . Range of books and journals available in our library is quite nice while being simple and easy to be accessed. All kinds of sports are being held by departments here like football , cricket, volleyball and field events on big event in sports is intercollege sports event where different colleges compete with each other . There are lot of student run clubs like samarpan , photography club etc.

In this college we can be admitted through three ways JEE mains ,WBJEE, management quota.cutoff for WBJEE is arround 13k for IT and for Jee mains is arround 1.5 lakhs rank . It is a private college so no reservations benifits here. WBJEE & Jee mains are held every year.admmison process in this college is already refined as you can also be admitted while you are in your home without extra charges.

Faculty members are highly qualified here all are minimum PhD holders here ,but degree doesn't means everything as few teachers are not quite good at explaining things to students,they might have been a great student in their time but also that justify their lack of ability to make other understand same as them . Faculty to student ratio is healthy . Faculty here is really easy to approach but it is preferable during college hours although we can approach them after college hours
