NIT Hamirpur is an excellent college. You have gain lots of good things in this college. Especially People in Himachal Pradesh are sweet, honest. One of the best college campus in laps of Himalayas, India Deodars in campus- always motive you to aim high College management depends upon the director of the college. But NIT Hamirpur is average in college management.

I am from Himachal Pradesh and I am interested in engg.NIT Hamirpur is the best college not only Himachal but all over the India.Thats why I choose this college. NIT Hamirpur is famous for its clean and cold environment.NIT Hamirpur included lots of courses like MBA,M.Sc,M.Tech,B.Arch.

B.Tech is 4 year program course and 1 year has included two semesters which is odd and even. In 1st yr you have study basic subject like chemistry,maths,physics, introduction to chemical engg. In 2nd year you have study like heat transfer,fluid dynamics etc. In 3rd and final year you study about mass transfer,CRE, polymer and fertilizer.

Yes, our college provides internship at time to time. Around 45-50% students got the internship from college. Highest stipend 20-30 thousands, lowest 5-6 thousands. average 10-11 thousands. Some companies give PPO(pre-placement offer) for students.

There are celebrated pre-placement main college Event in which one is technical and other is culture. 1.hill fair(cultural event)--It included Bhangra, Nati, Bollywood dance, drama, skit etc 2.Nimbus(technical event)---It included exhibition, project, car race competition etc.

Every engineering college gender ratio is not equal due to less no of girls take admission in engg. NIT Hamirpur campus life is bindass,chill and totally fun. Condition of labs and sports equipment are good and debate,quiz, painting, writing essays competition are also held

Hostel facilities and mess food of our college is excellent.I would rate 4/5 to mess food and 3.75/5 to hostel facilities. There is 9 hostel among them 7are boys hostel and 2 are girls hostel. Every hostel has included badminton and table tennis court.

Senior students and alumni network of our college is good. They always support and help the junior students. Every year 1 alumni meet takes place in my college.

NIT Hamirpur is under Ministry of human resources department.Every year JEE mains is conducted by CBSE and those students who crack this exam they will qualify to give the JEE Advance exam. If you crack the JEE mains exam than you will get NIT,IIIT and other colleges.

Faculty are qualified, knowledgeable but not so much helpful. 90-95% faculty have Ph.D. degrees. Many teachers are passed out IIT, NIT, Central University. Teaching method especially is used to write blackboard, projectors, video conference. I think quality of teaching is used is not so good, it should be improved. Students to faculty ratio is 70-30%. NIT Hamirpur has lots of teachers many of them are young. We also get industry exposure. 2nd , 3rd year get two to three visit for industry.
