Remarks

Not every thing is perfect all have some shortage in them. The bad is that the college a bit of marks oriented not study oriented. Talking about positiveness it provides too much opportunity for those are ready to grab them.

Entrance Preview

It's a fact that as I was unable to get into a government engineering college so I have to apply for few best private colleges. The appropriate fee structure of KIIT was a positive part. Mainly the placement track record of KiiT was much better than that of other private colleges I selected.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Firstly you must know that Kiit is an autonomous University. So it does not depend on other Universities for its course structure or exam pattern. But a lot of importance is given to provide quality syllabus to enrich the knowledge of students. Comming to research students who have any idea can do it any time of there course they want. But also in 6th and 7th semesters 1 minor project & 1 major project had to be done under nay professor releated to research work.

Internships Opportunities

KIIT organises different events in which many companies (old & new) comes to the campus nad recruits interns for there companies. As per last year stipend was ?5000 as an average. Companies includes IT and non IT ones. Some companies related to small scale manufacturing also took the interns.

Placement Experience

4.5

Overall placement in KIIT is too good. But as we come to department wise placements we can see that not many jobs are according to the branch. As there is an IT revolution going on and the whole country is moving toward IT sector too many jobs are developed in IT sectors and reducing branch wise jobs. So as a result students of mechanical branchs are also taking IT Sector jobs.

College Events

5

A lot of events are celebrated in our college. As NSS & NCC socities are part of college so many events are organised under them. Other events includes tech fest and the KIIT Fest which is the annual fest of the college in which every year a song night and a dj night is organised. And many other events are also there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit high as it's a private college. In 2018 btech Mechanical it is around (per semester) 1.5L tution fees and other fees like the hostel and mess charges. For an average 1.9L is the average fees per semester. But the facilities provided are good for that range of fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is is given related to entrance exam. But scholarship is privided to the branch toppers, first three with on monthly basis of 6000 for 6 months.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio depends upon the department you talk about. There are very less girls in the mechanical department but too many in the CSE and IT department. Nss & Ncc societies are there in college along with various singing dancing debate and other societies.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel are separate for girls and boys. During 1st year all the students irrespective of there branch avail same hostel in which no senior is allowed to reduce ragging. From second yearbranch wise hostel is alloted and one could choose AC or Non AC hostel as per required. All hostels have there own mess and food quality is much better as you expect from an college mess. Clean and organised mess is there in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

As I told earlier that 1st year students are provided separate hostel where seniors are not allowed so there is a communication gap between them. But from 2nd yr lot of conversation and share of feelings are between all students and apart from hostel you also can ask help from a senior in your department also. There a lots of project work going on in which senior and junior students are working together.

Exam Structure

The exam structure in KIIT is divided in to semesters. Each year has two semeaters and each semester has one mid semester nad one end semester examination. The mid semester exam comsits of 20 marks of the total and 20 marks are dedicated to quizzes; assignment;projects;etc. So mud semester in total is of 40 marks and rest 60 marks is for the end semester examination.

Admission

Admission to Btech in Kiit done only through the entrance exam known as KIITEEE. As much I remember the notification for the form releases in November Last week or December first week. And the forms can be filled till 20-25 days before the exam. And most importantly the there is no examination fee for KIITEEE. When I filled the form we were supposed to send the hard copy of the form to KIIT by mail but nowadays everything is going online so there is no worries.

Faculty

4.5

KIIT has a very highly group of qualified teachers. Most of them are IIT graduates and have completed their M.Tech degree. And about the way of teaching completely depends upon the professor. There are some professor who are highly qualified but during lecture they can't completely combine the things. There are also proffesors who have less qualifications but due to teaching dedication they make things easy for students.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
