Know my college

I opted for civil engineering course in btech because I have my diploma in the same course . This course is the one which have most practical and have the most real world application . Civil engineering is the course which have a very good future and is applicable in every field whether it is it sector , electrical sector or mechanical sector because all of these sectors recure a infrastructure to work . Teaching methods are good as the teachers are well qualified but the syllabus is too vast and some off the topics are not that much practical. The exams are very frequent . Our semester final are held every six months but in between them the college organise periodicals after every 2 months to check our knowledge and keep in line .

Well about internship , the college doesn't provide any option but as in civil engineering course it is very easy to get entership any where . You can tie up with any government je or sdo or even with any government contractor and you can do your internship there .

The fee structure is as minimum as possible for a under graduation course as it is a government college. It is somewhere between 25k to 30k per semester. They have various scholarships schemes for girls as well as for ews people or people whos parents earn less than 5,00,000 per annum . But you call only claim the money if you have 100 percent result in every semester

The campus is not great but even not the worst . The campus is on the border of district Shimla and kinnaur so the weather is great here . And we have easy access to places where the people in the cities dream about They have decent clubs such as dancing, singing , photography club etc and also rss club . The infrastructure is great but is still under construction

There are many ways to get admission the first step to get admission in our university is to give an entrance or through jee main percentile . Even after the first step there are some vacant seats left then you can go to any respected college and apply there if any seats are available in that college and this goes upto third or fourth round of councelling depending upon the vacancy

The student and faculty ratio is not good but still we are able to interact with them very easily. Teachers are very concerned about our learning . The teachers here are post graduated or PhD holders. Even after being a class of 73 students the teachers tries to interact with every student and try to know whether students and gaining any knowledge in the class or not. Even after many difficulties our teachers tries to keep our exposure as good as possible
