Best Government Engineering College in Odisha.

The college management has done its best in campus interviews. They called all prestigious companies and manged to get the 100% placement.

JEE my score was 8 I opted this college because its a Government college with best campus placement.

That time course curriculum was decided by the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT) but now the college is deemed university on its own. The college has various streams like CS, IT, Civil, Electrical, Architecture, Instrumentation & Electronics. The course structure is well focus oriented for research areas in these fields.

During my time my college was not offering this internship. After it became deemed university now they are providing internship. But i don't have detailed information regarding this.

I passed out in 2007 and to my believe 100% placement was there. all big It companies like to name a few Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Satyam, Honeywell, Atosorigin, Accenture, Mindtree consulting, Microsoft, Birla Soft came.. During 2007 package was from 2.2 to 3.8Lacs. I got placement in Mindtree Consulting at 3.2Lacs.

There were lot extra curricular activities happened. To name a few our college annual event called "zairza" is a grand one. We invite bollywood celebrities for this event. Its a one week event and we celebrate it in a very luxurious way. Apart from that college tech fest which conducted every year which show casts the final year projects of the student to other college and industry.

As its an government college the fees structure is decided by the state government. The total fees was 65000 during year 2003-2007. The fees has to be paid in 4 years. First year it was 20000, second year 15000, third year 15000, fourth year 15000. But now the fees has been more than doubled, approximately 1.5 lacs.

Yes they offered me scholarship as i got 8th rank in state. I got study loan also from them. Apart from college fees of 65000, they gave me additional 35000 for computer. I availed 100000 loan given by them through state bank of india.

Gender ratio approximately 64:40 (for 60 boys 40 girls). Mostly all are from same state with a very few from neighboring state (AP & Jharkhand, Bihar). The college has all labs, sports clubs (Cricket, football, vollyball, tennis, shuttle etc). The college has very big play ground for conducting all these sports.

Though i was not residing in college hostel i spent most of my time in hostel with my friends. That time the college has not made their own hostel and leased a government university hostel (OUAT). It has east, west, south, north and central hostel each 5 storied buildings. The mess also very good.

Our college alumni network is very strong. They refer all companies for campus interviews. They meet us in our college annual event zairza. They do also some sponsorship and funding.

Absolutely the exam was very hectic. In every semester there were three internal exams which carries 10 marks each. Then the final semester carries 70 marks. In every semester the exam will be on 6 subjects. The scoring is done in grade point system( CGPA, SGPA). Apart from that approximately in every semester 4-6 Lab Practicals.

All faculty are Mtech or Phd holders and having enough experience in teaching prior to joining here. During my time there were few contract faculties but even though they are minimum Mtech plus teaching experience. Few faculties even have working industry level experience.
