Entrance Preview

My admission is on merit bases, I completed my 12th from commerce. I was interested in commerce. I got 85% and this college is in Top 10 DU colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am extremely satisfied with the course I have choosen. I have many subjects some are listed below Business Mathmetics & Statistics, Economics development & policy in India, English, Company and compensation laws. Income tax and Auditing, Hindi etc.

Internships Opportunities

No, college is not providing internship I am not aware right now. And about overall experience it is ten on ten.

Placement Experience

Good job opportunities as DU is the most prominent colleges and most popular all over the country. Students easily get jobs after passing out from DU, as their personalities are well developed. High demand for DU pass outs students with good percentage and well maintained personality.

College Events

Too many events are organised in our college such as annual function, freshers party, farewell party, fest, quiz competition, sanskriti programme, debate competition, IQ sessions. Drama society events, cultural programme. NCC paraide, Youth National Councelling.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is reasonable, and my parents can afford it. First year fees was too much affordable, with passing years fees are increasing very fast. It is more than double in third year. But no way for everyone. So it is reasonable, feasible and affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships but I am not availed this facility yet. I am not well aware about. When to fill form. I am always busy with my lectures and work.

Campus Life

No disrimination on the basis of gender. Fest are organised by students. Labs are well maintained. Classes are well structured. A nice institution to study in. Elections are organised for vice president, president, secretary and general secretary. I am participating in elections. I am standing for vice president post.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are very good. Food is fantastic,they provide lunch for students, fruits, milk facility but only for those whose percentage are very high. My friends are staying. I am living with my family. My parents are shifted in delhi because of my education.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful, at the time of admissions they help many parents and students for filling the forms and form requirements.

Exam Structure

Very good schedules. Exams were started almost at 3 PM. Students are not in hurry or to rush very fast in early morning. They get proper time for grooming, revision of the subjects before exam is very important for every student. So I m glad with my exam timing and schedules.

Faculty

Faculty is well educated, polite and friendly i got 2nd position in my last semester. Our last principal was so much talented, he up brings the college rank on this postion. He allows in canteen only hygienic food, no cold drinks allowed in campus. Only cultural and educational activities are allowed, no celebrity are allowed to promote movies.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
