This course provides a lot of job opportunities in various departments and the technical knowledge is provided well and practice of various instruments is provided well which helps further in field after placement.

NHAI , TATA , INFOSYS offers internship program but the stipend is rarely available. Most of the students complete their internship from IIT JAMMU or PWD department. The students can also do their internship through AICTE .

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Companies such as Infosys and tata consultancy visit the campus . packages upto 8 lakh and more are offered. I am going for my master's after degree

Government college of engineering and technology jammu provides great infrastructure with advanced technology labs and very good supervision. The fee structure is good for as well as middle class students and good hostel facilities in reasonable price. Financial aids and scholarships are also provided to the the deserving students. Placement drives are arranged yearly.

Various festivals such as Holi , Basakhi, Independence day , Diwali are typically held. Library mostly consist of books related to the college courses. There are smart screens available to teach . Sports week is organised every semester.

The room provides a fan, bed, almirah,study table, and a chair, most of the furniture is of good quality wood, you can apply for the hostel after admission and middle class students can afford the hostel. Locality is not good to rent PG.

The eligibility of the course is 12th or diploma for lateral entry. All the admission details are provided on official site of the college. Reservation is provided as per AICTE Norms. The frequency and timings of exams is well managed.

The most of the staff is contractual but well qualified and they teaches to the students with all their efforts. The H.O.D of the department are highly experienced and they manage the department very efficiently.
