Course Curriculum Overview

The infrastructure of the college is not too good it should improve. But now it's under construction. The course curriculum is based on AICTE . Examinations are conducted by regularly and the difficulty level can say modarate.

Our college provides internship to students, lot of students went for academic internship to various IITS and NITS as well. Companies like Airtel, jio, oil, ongc, and neliet etc are come to hire for internship.

Our college provides on campus placement. Our 7th semester students are eligible for on campus placement. More than 160 companies are visited every year. Average package offers 7 LPA. Big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm etc. are visited.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees of the college is around 33000. Admission fees 15050, caution fees 10000 and others 7950. The college provides various scholarships opportunities to the students like- Ishauday, NEC scholarships for northeast students. Also they provide poor fund scholarship opportunities.

Campus Life

I have explored the campus life of our college. They're lot of clubs and social activities are open for all. I have been joined various clubs such as coding club, entrepreneurship and development cell, space technology club etc

Hostel Facilities

We have very big and nice hostel with having greenary campus. Hostel fees are affordable, providing good food quality, good WiFi connection and provide filtered water supply. Here are various local PGs but there fees are little bit high but our hostels are very affordable.

Admission

The admission of the college is based Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) scores . I got 80 rank in the exam over 1 Lakh candidates. I had chosen this college because of affordable fee structure, good placement records, good alumi network, big and nice campus area.

Faculty

The faculty -to-studend ratio is 1:4. The faculties are very approachable and friendly. They are highly qualified from various IITs and NITs etc. Examinations are conducted in 4 terms, 3 are Class Aptitude Test and 1 is end sem exam.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.
