SSIPMT - Honest review (must read before taking admission)

As for me, the batch i was in was the first batch under the course Artificial Intelligence so it was a bit difficult at starting but as we proceeded all became easier , new faculties were welcomed every now and then, seminars were conducted and all. Although very much is taught practically, practical teaching should be more focused on. According to me the level of examination is medium which is not very hard (both end sem and class tests).

The internship opportunities are not so good as in 5th semester we're given an option of either finding an internship in our own or doing vocational training under any reputed company. The same happens in 7th semester .

The placement rate of our college is very good. Companies like Accenture, SAP, Kodenest, HSBC and many more takes part in placement fair and offer various roles as per the students skills. The average package is 10 to 12 LPA.

The yearly tution fee for b.tech is Rs. 80400 and the yearly hostel fee is Rs. 65000 (former 62000, increased this year only) ,from which Rs. 1000 will be returned after leaving hostel (caution money). There is scholarship schemes available for sc, st (based on caste certificate) and general caste (merit scholarships - based on 12th result) . The amount credited to st and sc students are Rs. 23000 and for merit students it is Rs. 10000 .

Campus life in respect of extracurricular activities is what i liked very much. Various clubs like music club, dancing club , sports club are available and various events are organised by the cultural committee of our college (SCC).

I've been a hosteler and to be honest the first year of my hostel life was very good as we had the best seniors. There are two kind of rooms available i.e. 2 seater and 3 seater. A table , chair and a personal cupboard is provided to all. As for the food, it is of average quality (hygiene wiss good but taste wise okayish).

As for me , i was a jee aspirant but it didn't work out and SSIPMT was the only private college i could have trusted in chhattisgarh. So in the end it all worked out. The admission process is very easy and simple. Student can either take admission with jee score card or through PET result. (Cutoffs varies).

There are different faculties available for different semester students respective of the subjects. There were 2 CTs conducted per semester which played a vital role in our overall results and ofcourse an end semester examination. A few faculties were very supportive and some weren't but one should always get on their good sides as the practical marks and TAs depend on it.
