IIT Kharagpur : where dreams meet reality

IIT kharagpur curriculum offers a strong foundation in the understanding of enginnering things . like in first year we study basic subject all domail and from second year onward we study departwise subject . A part from this various interdisciplinary subject can take by student like AI, ML , Data science etc . for todays job requirements .While some of the previous subject like engineering drawing like subject they are not of so much in these computer era so other subject should focus like computer simulation rather than this .For the matter of exam I majorly agree on the timing of mid sem as question are mostly come from professor notes onwhat they teach so this not create much trouble .

Students from the starting of 5th semester they can submit their application for CDC internship and for the placement they can submit their resume in the 7 th semster and students majorly get placement . All the topmost gient tech companies including facebook, google , microsoft , amazon, netflix and bog companies come for placement interview. Highes package is 2.6 cr and average package is about 18-20 LPA . M y plan is to grow my startup and join companies for funds related things.

The tuition fee is 100000 per semester for most of the students . I is free for sc and st student and economically weaker section and obs people whose annual income is less than 5 lack .with addition to tuition fee there is caution money library fee hall fee and mess fee and other mislaneous fee of 50 thousand per semester and all the student have to give this fees even sc and st student also.the total fees for a complete 4 year btech program at IIT kharagpur is approximately 1200000 including semester fees and other compulsary fees . scholorship: MCM scholorship: merit based scholorship is available for student who do well in academics and have decent cg at the end of the semester . SC/ST assistence scholorship: for sc /st student having less than 50000 annual income and minimum 6 cg is necessary for availing scholorship. other scholorship: Aditya birla scholarship and other NGO and other are available based on the acandemic performance . Batchmate : All the batchmate are too helpful.

Khitij and spring fest are the two major annual and technical fest respectively happens in my college and they moslty happens in the month of january . I IIT kharagur national digital library is there and student can accsess 4 book for self studies at room and can access almost all book in the library. for the matter of sport there is shaurya sport fest of iit kharagpur and all sport happens here. For all the interesting things there is society here like dance there is breakfree , space things there is spats and others society that you can imagine you can find here .

Facility: furnishing things like bed 1 table 1 chair high speed internet using wifi and LAN.most room accomodate 2 person in single room but there is hostal that provide single room for single students . Meal quality is average not like much personally. For the hostal registration it is declared to you at the time of admission and in the second year random hostal rearrangemt happens and from that onward student reside inthat hostal. Locallity like hijli and khargpur anyone can get rented room or PG.

I apply in IIT delhi and other various IIT college through my jee advanced councelling and I almost got atleast one sheet from all the iit . but I choose chemical engineering at iit kharagpur because it is old iit and corriculum also too supportive and have excellent allumni network. No I reject college if technically see through concelling. I give preference order on the basis on branch and college i want to choose.For the admission process student need to give JEE mains and then qualified students give JEE advanced and on the basis of rank they can got IIT kharagpur . Actually cutoff is about 10000 thousand rank in jee advanced for lower branch and for Computer science it is more like under 300 rank for open category .

IIT kharagpur offers a good academic environment by providing approximately 1:30 faculty and students ratio. Apart from this faculty member are very approachable they give their gmail and even contact number for doubt dicussion and even physcially available in their office anyone can visit him. Like a professor Rabibrata mukharji make a wattsapp group for doubt disccussion and for good interaction, while some faculty dont know the teaching methedology they give only lecture like video like robot . Exams are here like of mid sem and end sem in which 30 percent syllabus will cover in mid sem and 50 percent cover in end sem exam and rest 20 poercent are given through surprise test and teacher assessment and attendence related things .
