Likes

Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful to the students.
Campus is very beautiful as it is surrounded by the mountains
Places nearby the college are very beautiful and seems like tourist destination

Dislikes

Campus size is too small it is only 67 acres
It far away from my home nearly 2000 kms
Placements are not too good the average placement is nearly 10-12 lpa

Course curriculum is very good. There are many specific aspects of the curryculum that influenced me to choose this course. The course curriculump preapares us for real world application and the frequency of exam is around 1 month

Placement Experience

Students from 6th or 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies that visits the like Google, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Physics Wallah etc. Nearly 80% of students get placed during campus placements.

I am 2nd year undergrad at NIT Srinagar. My name is Rishabh Raj and I am from civil engineering branch. My category is GEN-EWS and income is less than 1 lakh. I am from Bihar. I am living in hostel named manasbal

Campus Life

Overall experience with campus life, focusing on social aspects, club involvement, and the infrastructure provided is very nice. Rang-e-chinar is the annual fest and techvagenza is the technical fest.

Hostel Facilities

How facilities are very good specially in our hostel(Manasbal). There are 6 students in a room 2 fans are in the room lan cabel is available in the room there are four study table and four lockers overall hostel facilities are good.

Hostel Fee: INR 8500 per year

Admission

I have choosen this college because of the NIT tag and also because of thr beauty of the campus. I am getting some GFTIs accort to my JEE mains rank but this is the best college for me. The infrastructure and the place where college is situated is very pleasant.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is nearly equal to 1:50. There are many faculties whom i like as Rashiq sir, Abdul wahib sir, Dr Venkatesh and Dr Ujjwal warbhe. Teachers like Atendra kumar i don't like because he is very rude.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score. My college accepts admission through jee mains ranking After that josaa and csab counselling. Cutoffs for this exam vary around 80 percentile for obc 90 percentile for general students...Read More
