Course Curriculum Overview

Course is moderate to tough. Depends on the subject also. More theory oriented rather than practical work. Exams were conducted on time, results were published in 3-4 months. Each semester is of 4 months.

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

Since 7th semester, students are eligible for placement. The companies visited were UST Global, Mitsogo, 6D technologies, Speridian, Qspiders, Datapy, Kodnest in computer science department. On campus placements were these mentioned.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is ?50000 for 2020-2024 Computer science and engineering batch, it may be increased for new batches. Depends on the department you chose. The other departments had fee between ?40000-?50000 .

Campus Life

Arts fest, sports fest were held once in a year. Fresher's day was also held. Onam, Christmas celebrations are held. Library is vast and many books are available. Labs are good. Student social groups include IEDC, IEEE etc.

Admission

This college was nearby and one of the popular private colleges in the district. The admission process is through KEAM exam and there are merit seats allotted based on the rank and mark of the students. Scholarships are also provided based on marks.

Faculty

The faculties are very friendly towards the students and are willing to solve and clarify any doubts. The exams were moderate and teachers were interactive in their teaching sessions. Good lab facilities as well.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
