Likes
- The infrastructure of my college is wonderful , we have a very huge campus so I like to keep exploring them . Also the greenery which surrounds my campus is one of the most fascinating things.
- The girl to boy ration is 1:3 which is the story of every engineering college , but I appreciate this fact if you have a good friend circle then it feels liek you have the main character energy among the whole group of boys .
- My college conducts many events and has various societies , there is always something or the other going on which is good and keeps me engaged and consistent in the journey of learning .
Dislikes
- Despite it conducts many events we get to know about very few of them before time , it has happened many a times that I got to know about the events after it has happened .
- The teaching system of the first year where all teh subjects are known to you but scoring is hard because it depends on the teachers mood .
- Teachers dont actually tell us about the fact of building skills they just simoly come teach and go , very few of them are actually teaching us so that we acquire knowledge and dont become robots
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course considering the future trends in which IT sector is going to bloom . Believe me the college ki padhai not at all prepare you for real life challenges , its only you who could do all teh things to improvise your skills and work on yourself . The entire education policy for the college should be renewed because there are many unnecessary subjects , those can be kept optional for us . The frequency of examination is good .
Fees and Financial Aid
So I would like to share the sem- wise fee structure of my college : Tution fees : 1920000 Hostel fees(non AC 3): 28000 Hostel admission fee : 15000 Mess fee :22000 And other fee(which includes developement fees , lab fees and other compulsory charges ) : 8200 So for a year it is basically twice of the given amounts . Apart from this every sem we need to pay 1000 ruppees as examination registration fees
Campus Life
So my college conducts many events including teh festivals suck as Janmashtami , Ganesh puja , Saraswati puja , freshers , fests like there is an overall yearly engagement in the programs . The fests are being conducted in FEbruary and the freshers is cibducted mostly after Ganesh Puja in the month of Spetember . The KiiT MUN is very well known for conducting the areas biggest MUN in which peoole come from overall the world which is mostly conducted in the Month of September or October .Apart from these we habe a central library as well were we get variety of books for ourselves also we have the access of teh library till 10 pm . It has a separate camous only for the sports complex which makes it even more attractive . KSAC which stands for Kiit student activity centre contains various societies of different interests such as anchoring society , dance society , business society , misic , social activity , NSS ,NCC and many more and recruitment happens twice in a year .
Admission
I didnt apply for many colleges it was just i wanted to join the defence forces , my fate got me here at KIIT . The other colleges were basically CU and colleges in Maharastra . I chose this college because it gives a lot of exposure also i wanted to go out from my state and study . KiiT conducts an exam called KIITEE , we need to attain good scored in this examination in order to get our branch . After that if we score good and come inder the top 1000 we get selected .
Faculty
The facultyb to student ratio is 1:12 to 1:15. Each group of children are being assigned their respective mentors . I like my current DSA, DSD sir and also maths sir the most because they actually put a lot of efforts so that each and every student is able to understand. I am dumb when it comes to coding but my DSA sir heloed me improve a lot and made many concepts clear to me . I really dislikes my previous mentor who taught me chemistry because he always came with a very low , dull energy and never taught us nicely also he was very strict at giving marks , in 12th chem was my forte but because of him i scored very less . Every sem there are around 8 to 9 subjects out of which there is an examination of 6 subjects . In a year 4 examinations are being conducted and in 1st year very few student tend to fail who are not at all attentive . Overall the curriculum of 1st year was very shitty now in 2nd year it feels like there are the real subjects
