Likes

Classroom are good and also have a smart board in every class
Solar system are there in the college but not good
Campus is clean but not upto the mark but not good

Dislikes

Bus service is not good , there are 2 bus for boys but students not get seat in the bus
Infrastructure is not up to the mark , the college is not a gate
Teachers are not experienced upto the mark

The course is good , these courses are very usefull , but the teaching style is not good Every teacher should try to teach Loudly and clearly . Sometimes I can't understand what they are trying to say ....

Internships Opportunities

Internship is available in this college after 1st year and. 2nd year You can get internship in APDCL , NEPCO , IIT etc The internship opportunity in this college is good i think you can get internship in there

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 14 thousand 500 fees for the 1st year admission and also for 2md and 3rd year . Development fees , lab fees and other compulsory charges during the course is none . But i have to pay teachers day fees , freshers fees etc other events and i have to pay 2500 rupess for our tech fest

Campus Life

Campus life is too boring , there is only one hostel , and but one good thing is that the college library provides book free of cost and you can bring them in your pg or hostel and read them without buy them

Admission

In assam there is an entrenc exam named CEE . And i got a good mark , but i mistaked in counseling process and fixed my seat in this college . The eligibility to get admission in this college is that you have to sit in a exam CEE and after that you will get a seat if you got good mark

In our department most teachers are inexperience , but they try to solve doubt of the students , The exams the very frequent , there a mid term exam between the mid of the semester and a end term exam at the end of the semester

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

The other colleges I applied for are aec, jec, jist, tezpur university, nits. I couldn't qualify for jee so I did get into tezpur university or nits. My rank wasn't that high in cee so I could not get a seat in AEC and JEC.
