I Will say about myself, like many others I am away from home. I am learning things about how to survive in the real world. I chose this course as it is a reputed course in society and many options emerge in this course

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 14500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

First Admission was about 17500. Then after that at 2nd year i paid 14500. Now in my cureent year i again paid 14500 . As my college is a gov engneering college its fee structure is affordable . But want to say one thing our colloge has a bad reputation of faculties taking money

Campus Life

One common library is there in our college. And a department wise one individual college is There. Every year technisia is held in our college which is our technical festival. Singers come from all over the place

Admission

Our college is 2nd tier college in our state. I didn't get a higher rank in the common entrance exam I got admission to this college. Not many people know about our college. Average teaching faculties

Faculty

Not very experienced faculties, and ever-changing professors are all constant problems in our college. Exams are held before the end sem exam, seasonal exams, end sem exams are hard. Teachers hardly give marks

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

The other colleges I applied for are aec, jec, jist, tezpur university, nits. I couldn't qualify for jee so I did get into tezpur university or nits. My rank wasn't that high in cee so I could not get a seat in AEC and JEC.
