Course Curriculum Overview
First year is all about basics so we learned biology and even EVS. Those were really unnecessary. But the teachers were keen to make us understand how the subjects are helpful in engineering life. Second year is where we get into actual engineering, that is, core subjects.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship from third year onwards but since I just entered second year I don't have much knowledge about it but they do provide internship oppurtunities for everyone. But in the end your cpga and skill really matters.
Placement Experience
The college placement is about 5 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum. It does not gurantee job but try so that every student does well during their placements. The campus placement is quite average and the highest package was 63 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
As of the batch of 2023 to 2027 of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, the tution fees of B-Tech Cse is rupees1,92,000 per semester, i.e, 3,84,000 per year. The hostel fees vary from 40k to 70k per semester according to different types of room with mess fee of rupee 22,500. Thus the yearly course fees 3.84,000 rupees.
Campus Life
THe one thing I enjoy most here is the campus life which is so full of life and oppurtunities to enhance and explore yourself. It also conducts a FEST every year where renound celebrities are invited. It is a great experience to build connections and come out of your comfort zone. The different socities in kiit also plays a great role.
Hostel Facilities
The hygiene maintainance is quite impressive in every hostel. Mess food is quite a mood off but edible. The room infrastructure depends upon the type of room you want. It varies accordingly. They serve different food every day and also the menu changes every month.
Admission
I had my relatives graduating from here so coming here could be one of the reason and the college life experience is really good here and that's what changed my mind. It gives us so many oppurtinites to explore different areas and dive deeply in our hobbies as well. The admission process is quite simple, you have to appear for KIITEEE and score above 80 percentile for get CSE as your branch. They also consider JEE rank as well.
Faculty
Every institute has good as well as the bad faculty members. I faculty members I came across till now were really good, cheerful and helpful except for my first year mentor who was also my chemistry teacher, beacuse he would just come to the class, read the ppt, dont explain anything, couldn't even clear our doubts and does tough checking in our exams.
