Course Curriculum Overview

As being a doctor is the most noblest profession in the world. We have Early clinical Exposures from first year itself which makes us prepare for further clinical practices Mode of teaching should be more energetic as understanding the mechanisms of human body is quite interesting to know

Fees and Financial Aid

*My mode of admission is private.I got seat based on my reservation i.e. OBC(MMH). First, second and third year fee is 1630715(per year) for someone who took private seat Final year fee is 24.45 lakh *For someone who got government seat is supposed to pay 1.4 lakh per year *Also there's management/nri seat which may vary from 90 lakhs - 1.2 crore for the entire course The students of Karnataka can apply SSP scholarship. An amount of 25K-40K will be given by the Government.

Campus Life

Every year we have three main events. *University Fest - November/December *Convocation - March/April *Freshers(for 1st year students...given by 3rd year students) - May/June Our library has all sets of books related to our course. It has medical books of Indian others as well as foreign authors Our lecture hall is newly built with centralised AC and soundproof system and the environment helps us stay focused during lectures *We got sports in the events like fest, convocation and freshers *Games include both indoor and outdoor games *Indoor games like chess, table tennis, carrom and FIFA *Outdoor games include Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Relay, 100m, Throwball, Kabaddi and Tug of war *We have clubs like literature, research and media

Admission

*The only exam accepted to get admission in our medical college is NEET exam. We have go through the Karnataka councelling process. *The councelling process has 4 rounds (1st round, 2nd round, mop-up round and stray vacancy round) *Though almost 90% of the seats if filled in first two rounds. *Students are accepted based on the cutoff with the mode of admission of Government seat, Private seat and management seat *I did applied for other colleges like Al-ameen medical college Bijapur, MRMC medical college Gulbarga and Kanachur Medical college Manglore. *But i couldn't get admission in those colleges because of my neet marks *Hopefully i got seat in KBNIMS and I don't regret taking admission in this college and pursuing MBBS

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
