Course Curriculum Overview

5

The college is more of a judiciary centric college it is also a great places for aspirants of other civil services and government examinations as the curriculum of the course is set in such a way allowing aspirants enough time for their preparations as well as providing studies with respect to the syllabus of the examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees paid by me and my batchmates is ?45,000. It has been increasing as the batches senior to us had to pay a sum of ?35000. Due to the nature of our course [B.A LLB(H)] being a self financed course, the fee increases for the management and continuation of the college. No scholarships are provided from the college but consideration with regards to co curricular activities done by a student during his school year gives the student a better opportunity to get admission into the college. Reservation is provided during the admission process but no increment or decrement in fees is given with regards to reservation.

Campus Life

4

The college is more focused towards conducting academic activities which help in the overall growth and development of students. Activities like the national moot court are usually held every year in the month if october. Intramoot competition are also held every year in the month of may. International conferences are also held annually in the month of December. The college library is a place where one can easily issue books relevant for his study. The linrary is also filled with books necessary for a law school and is constantly updated every 6months. No clubs and student union is allowed in the college to prevent students from engaging in college politics but unofficial clubs are a part of the college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Their is a girls hostel in the college with all the basic necessities available including wi-fi. Clean and spacious rooms with hygienic bathroom. The admission to the hostel is through rank obtained by the individual in the entrance exam.

Admission

The reason for my application in this college was for judicial services preparation. This college is also ranked as one of the best college for law in odisha with a good alumnus base and great reputation. It is also one of the oldest college in the country providing law since 1896. I had applied to other colleges like GGU (guru ghasidas vishwa vidyalaya). I also got an acceptance letter from that college but my desire if cracking judicial services made me choose ULC.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college are Very supportive and kind, they go out of their way to help students regarding academics and activities. The faculty of the college is very knowledgeable as their criteria for becoming the faculty is to atleast clear mains of UGC NET making them a team of learned individuals. The exams for BA LLB(H) course is divided into 10 semester with each semester being conducted within the six months of the year. The difficulty level of the exams is medium with more focus towards examination pattern similar to odisha judicial services.

Placements for Law have started recently and though aren't in full fledged but somehow they are good to motivate the juniors. 30-40k which is I feel a proud salary for a law student to begin with as otherwise even after studying law students are seen interning.

Well, I passed out in 2024 and till then some corporate houses such as Bajaj and Deloitte were the only major corporate houses which provided us placements. Also, firms like Khaitan & Co and others also started coming for placements. On and average 40-50k were the initial salaries that law students of our college were given.

Law firms of litigation or corporate law firms were among other who have joined hands with KIIT School of Law. It's an amazing college and placements too are good as generally freshers lawyers don't get what students of KIIT School of Law are paid from campus placements of KIIT School of Law. Thus our placements are next to NLUO in Orissa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific curriculum aspects that influence the choice of a course include unique modules that align with your interests and career goals, a program's reputation, teaching and assessment methods, and opportunities like study abroad or internships. You should research the specific content, like whether a course is more theoretical or practical, and choose based on what best path. I took english hnrs because of english is my favourite subject... And about changes in english explanation is the best teaching part in this course .. so I want to change this part of my teacher that's all

The college has a seperate Placement Cell and the placement cell offers us placements. The students get eligible for placement after the completion of 4th year. There are many companies like Infotech limited, Riseon limited, Wipro limited, etc. they come for placements. The highest package is 55000/- per month that is received in our campus. In our campus 75% of students get admissions per batch. My interest is to continue persuing LLM in this institution after the completion of my BA LLB (H) course.
