Likes

There are comparable boys and girls which is good.
we have good hostels to live in during the course
The placements are high and package are good

Dislikes

I don't like that the classes are too far from room
Some time the food in mess is like pure Bengali food excess sweet

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses are too good but I can't understand why the Cs people have to study some of hardware courses which makes no scense so it is hard to compare the hardware courses to our software profile except it rest isfine

Internships Opportunities

There are so many companies coming for internship opportunities that are available and there are companies giving more than 1 cr CTC which is very high in my view so our internship program is very good .

Placement Experience

The placement percentage is high and placement are good here than compare to other colleges and average package is good so I like my campus very much so but there are still some people with no placements in the campus

Fees and Financial Aid

1 lack tuition fees per semester and 35 Thousand fee per hoster varies with semester duration.I have a scholarship of institution which makes my tution fees 0 so per semester 1 pay nearly 40 Thousand .

Campus Life

I like campus very much there are so many places to explore to learn and interact with many more seniors who help in the placements and internship which is helpful for future of the juniors so I like the culture

Hostel Facilities

It is an average location to live since cost of living is very less comparing to the different friends of mine in different places in India so it is not such important how is the food in the mess so it is good for staying

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

I like the atmosphere and which is high in area comparing to other campuses so I came form village so I like to stay in Village atmosphere rather than any city atmosphere as others IITs so I preferred IIT Kharagpur

Faculty

The professors are good enough they teach too well tayb we expect but the problem is mess starts at 7.30 am and classes are from 8 am it takes atleast 30 min to reach class form rooms so it is hard to reach class on time so prof won't agree to be late

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
